Biggest news is that they are only having two starting days for the Main, but keeping a $2M guarantee on it AND losing the $1M guarantee for first, very glad to see that. Will be interesting to see what fields they get with two starting days and few mega satellites. All events also will be in the poker room, no more Global Event Center.

$550 Mega Satellites - 12PM on 8/12, 8/19 and 8/21 and 7PM on 8/26 and 8/30. All Megas have 8 seats added to the prizepool.

9/3 3 PM - $1100 Super Turbo Bounty - $500 bounties.

I hope the numbers do not go down too much with only 2 starting days in main. Should be a good event as always. I will play the main and hope to play a mega or two as those are as good a value as you can find anywhere.

Nope, and Labor Day weekend is hugely busy for them, so hotel prices are absurd unless you are a big gambler with them. Most Gainesville hotels are mediocre at best also.

Try the Red River Inn and Suites. They were totally sold out for 9/2 when I called and this place had rooms for a third of the price as Winstar and is a short walk away from the poker room.

Confusingly, there are two Red River Inn hotels adjacent to Winstar, one is a Best Western and the other isn't. The BW one is nicer and more expensive. I've stayed at both. The non-BW one is a bit worn and meh, but paying $110 to stay there beats the hell out of paying $350 or something to stay at WinStar, and when I go with my fiancee, it's nice for us to be able to go back and forth easily without a car if needed, as opposed to driving to Gainesville and back.

And maybe I’m particularly stupid today, but thought I saw that the River poker events are going to be in the poker room itself now? Main Event is still going to be in global event center, with cash games ongoing in the regular poker room, correct?

Think I heard everything including Main will be in the poker room.

How many players in the non main events before alternates?

Yes it was.

Cash games will have a long list until later in the day of the big field tournaments. I think they have 50-55 tables in the new room so the weekend tourney days should be the only times with space issues.

Can't seem to find structures on these. Anyone have a link?

The Winstar site says what the blinds start at and how many chips you get. The turbos usually skip a few levels, and the main usually has all of the standard levels.

I emailed them for structure sheets yesterday, but haven't heard back. I'll post the structures when I get them.
