Does anyone know where to find info on this event? Maybe i am dumb, but I couldnt find anything on website or thru google.

Event name: "Heads-Up, No Holds Barred, Invitational Poker Tournament"

Dates: August 13th and 14th. [Note: If the event expands to 32 players we may have to finish on the 15th.] Meet at 8pm Friday to set the brackets. Play one round Friday starting at 9, then resume Saturday

Only open to 16 or 32 players exactly

Price: $5,000 (entry fee included)

Relaxed Rules: Showing cards, discussing the contents of the hands, and commenting on the other player's play will all be allowed.

Each match is best two out of three

8pm Friday we'll draw brackets. 9pm cards in the air.

Saturday play is scheduled to resume at 11am, but Mcmatto thought that was too early for true poker players. We could resume later Saturday if that was the consensus.

Cardmonkey, as an employee of the Tulalip poker room, is there any chance you can get your tournament structures improved? I live about 3 miles from the casino and I love poker tournaments but I never go there because your structures are so horrible. Basically you have 1 hour to play a few hands before it becomes a short stack crapshoot. It seems like players deserve a little more play for their buy-ins.

Try the Thursday 7pm NLHE for $130. House takes $20 and adds $1,000. Over 100 players every week.

6k starting chips, 30 minute rounds. Only draw back is that the winner's not done till about 1:30 or 2:00am.

Structure's not perfect but pretty good for a 6 hour tournament.

And if you want an event with great structure come play this $5k Heads-Up Tournament. Lots of play there.

I have at least 11 hard commits, but no idea how many will follow through.

Wish I could be there guys, I'm sure it will be a very cool event. My dead $ would prob bring more players too. sorry. I might be back to see the conclusion anyway. Maybe November 9er Matt Jarvis will recruit some Vancouver guys to come down. Any Vancouver guys reading this? Come down and sell the BCPC to us!

Tulalip does not exactly have a great reputation for tournaments... I mean the floor practically sides with the regs everytime forcing those who dont want to chop at the final table to either chop or become the most hated players at tulalip... since I play to win events I will never play MTTs there again.

They don't hate you because of the floor. They hate you because they love to chop. It's silly but that's the way it is.
