Weekday or weekend best day for a live multi day tourney? (wsop excluded) I am seeing more and more of these. What day do you prefer and why?

The day only really matters for people coming from relatively close (like CA). The premier events at each location will typically draw well regardless of weekend or weekday. Its the secondary events (ie the ones that are held more than once), or aren't all that unique/special where the weekend will draw better.

Most of the non-WSOP multi-day tourneys are weekends for obvious reasons.

I don't think this is remotely true. All the other major series (Venetian, Wynn, PH, Aria, GN, etc.) have tournaments throughout the week and on the weekend, and most of their premiere events ARE NOT on the weekend (at least not traditional Fri/Sat/Sun schedules). The reason they don't have big tournaments on the weekend is obvious. These are the days when the WSOP is holding their signature events. The other venues look to capitalize on the traffic the WSOP brings in... not compete directly with it. At least at this time.
