I don't think this is remotely true. All the other major series (Venetian, Wynn, PH, Aria, GN, etc.) have tournaments throughout the week and on the weekend, and most of their premiere events ARE NOT on the weekend (at least not traditional Fri/Sat/Sun schedules). The reason they don't have big tournaments on the weekend is obvious. These are the days when the WSOP is holding their signature events. The other venues look to capitalize on the traffic the WSOP brings in... not compete directly with it. At least at this time.
