Don't believe the cv numbers all that much. There's a huge amount of fraud going on to bilk the govt out of coronabucks. Story I heard this morning is 90+ year old woman fell and broker her hip, she was near death when they found her, didn't last long in the hospital. When relatives got the death certificate, the listed cause of death was the cv.

If anything, numbers are probably under-reported.

One random story that fits your narrative isn't evidence of anything.

Story of the fraud you heard from a TV news or from Rumor Mill ?

I will say that I had a personal friend of mine get drunk and fall over a couch. He was 60+ and cracked a rib that pierced his lung and died a couple days later. They tried to put covid19 on his death certificate.

After that I looked into it and they are pretty lax with confirmations when they add someone to the death toll. Confirmed cases are confirmed, deaths are not. It's all there in the fine print for anyone that wants to look.

Regardless of the number inflated or deflated, I hope they run the series and I will go.

I am not trying to protect someone if they try to commit fraud. Like Hospitals, Doctors, Coroners etc. But i would stay away from hear say stories.

What's the current line on 2021 WSOP taking place in June as usual?

I want to believe that it will happen, but May is only 10 months away now. We've already been living with the virus for 4+ months here in the USA and things have only gotten worse. That doesn't bode well for next summer.

They may be better off pushing it back into Fall 2021. By then maybe a combination of herd immunity and vaccines makes it possible for the WSOP to hold a big live series without too much risk of blowback.

Another option that I haven't heard mentioned is holding it abroad. Europe has a much better handle on Corona than we do here in the USA. They could have a venue over there or in Canada host it and require screenings for any visiting American players.
