I am proud to announce the release of an iPhone-only app for table draw research. If you find a bag at the 2023 WSOP, you will get a notification to open the app and it will give you a link to the event's structure, your opponents, and their chip counts. There are links to a Google search for each player so you can see their poker-playing results.
It is free and does not track any of your personal data.
I made it for the love of the game and to provide a service that I have always wanted but could not find.
Seems like a great idea. I don't play that much, but I'll give it a whirl this weekend at the WSOP.
I've played around with it a bit, and I'd suggest some sort of hint to find players better. I had to scroll down quite a bit with an exact search with my name. There is some data truncation, but this is a great start.
Based on a quick start up of this app, it's pretty slick once I was able to link it with my name. Thanks.
I will echo what another poster mentioned, that the initial search to "find myself" was kind of messed up. In my case the list generated by searching for my name had about 5 people that weren't me with the same last name listed first. Then instead of the rest of the people with the same last name it listed dozens or maybe even hundreds of people with my same first name before I was able to scroll down and find my name on the list. It seems like people with the correct last name should be exhausted before moving on to people with the same first name.
For people considering grabbing this - the thing we are mentioning not working great only needs to happen once and isn't a huge deal - It just took a minute or two instead of 10 seconds. After that, I could see my opponents from the recent time I bagged WSOP chips, which wasn't even this year. It didn't have the really old ones though.
Suggestion for future enhancement - allow an option to just directly search by the person's name you want to check out. Sometimes you pick up players' names at the table and it would a nice to be able to quickly get similar search results (it's cleaner than google) if you just typed them in to the app. I get that the idea is for table draws and not the original intent. Also, get that you can get there if you search for them and then click into one of their listed tournaments then choose their name, but thought this could be a nice future add that wouldn't be too challenging to add.
