Maybe their standards are too high. The average dealer at the Orleans surpasses the average dealer in the WSOP deepstacks.

Just a shame to see 5 empty tables with no dealers with a 40 person waiting list meanwhile many of the other series have problems with freeing up tables as much as dealers.

I asked one of the floorpeople about that, as he was dealing our table in a tournament, lol. He said that as long as they could pass the background checks they would train them to be reasonably competent. They hired everyone they could get. I think the problem is what I mentioned before - all the usual newbie and out of town dealers simply didn't know the Orleans was doing a June series.

At least their tournaments are deep enough that even if you miss an hour you're still okay wrt chip stack.

Could anyone tell me if there are shuttles from the other Boyd casinos to Orleans. Example Mainstreet Station.

There's only one shuttle--Orlean's-->Gold Coast-->Linq.

Nothing to downtown nor Sam's Town from the Orleans though.

Are there other events like this going on in the fall and or spring at Orleans. I really like the idea of less NL and more variety.
