Re: Seminole Hard Rock Summer Splash (WPT Regional): August 10-27

WOW, some of these posts show where American mentality has come to. The same type of people that would be draft dodgers, drive by an accident without helping, walk by while a person bleeds to death. Me, Me, Me, well not all like that, I already know of one team of 6 players that was hoping to take down a large chunk of that prize pool that is upset. That would not make it a me thing, but a we thing. other than the teams, it is a shame what people are saying on this thread. Where is your decency people. Obviously most have not lived through a natural disaster before. Personally I am glad there was a nice tournament series in the first place. Thanks Hard Rock for putting on a good show for us players.

So they take off the guarantee b/c of the storm, all the pros decide they aren't playing anymore, and they add $25k to the prizepool?

Hmmmm.

Re: Seminole Hard Rock Summer Splash (WPT Regional): August 10-27

bahahahahahaha!!! at anyone who had to disagree with any of my statements previously at how this poker room is run..... they easily would have gotten the 500k gtd if they did nothing imo.... what a ****ing joke. I've never heard of a casino taking off a gtd and would venture to say that probably in the history of the WPT this is going to be the first cancelled gtd. Also there is a huge misconception about how important the poker room is to the casino... although it's not top priority it is certainly in the casinos best interest to have the highest possible flow in all aspects and departments ie. stores, restaurants, clubs, poker room so people can go and have a chance at blowing their brains out on the blackjack baccarat 3 card poker tables as well as the slots... A lot of heavy hitters frequent the hardrock for the variety of options in between gambling, as they continue to mismanage these other aspects of the CASINO business, they are not allowing themselves to ever realize their expected gains b/c these casino gains would always be greater with customers that continue to give their business to these outlets when they are acting optimally or close to optimal as opposed to not coming b/c of being mismanaged.... It's a sad sad story here

Yeah just makes no sense. It woulda hit the guarantee pretty easily. A few miles away the Isle is running a $330 buyin with a $150,000 and they didn't cancel theirs even though it's guaranteeing 500 people.

Not a bad turnout for the main event , from what I understand, the rake was put into the prize pool, nice move.

I was playing 1/2nl this afternoon and went upstairs to see the final table. Although it was quiet upstairs, the action on the final table was loud and clear. I saw a little of the heads up action and watched Mike take the whole thing down. What a finish ! Congrats on a hard fought victory.
