The next major tournament series for the Seminole Hard Rock after their WPT Showdown features a WPT Regional Event August 24-27. The $2,200 Main Event will have a $500,000 guaranteed prize pool.

I'm sure William Mason and co. will have more on this shortly.

Last yr there was an everglades open in May w/ a $1,600 ME. Not happening this year?

Def not. Pretty sure doesnt even count as a WPT title. Still a very good event, think hastings won ~200k last summer for 1st.

We ran into a scheduling issue with 2 other venues running events in May. We will be pushing the Everglades open later in the year.

At this time, the entire event will be held in the ballroom.

UGH yes Hastings won last Summer. Great tournament. It was like $220k for 1st.

Just a quick note - the schedule should be up by the middle of next week and it is confirmed that the entire series will be in the ballroom (56 tables).

Please consider doing single table satellites that award tokens that can be used to enter any tournament in the series. Single tables have been nearly non-existent at previous events partly because you are awarded seats rather than tokens. The flexibility with tokens will increase the number of sts' you run dramatically.

We are currently working with our gaming commission on the use of tokens, but until it is approved we cannot use them.

Assume the Day 2 start time for event 26 is 12pm on August 19 as it's not listed? Also, unless as noted, are all tournaments one-day events?

The start time for Event #26 Day 2 will be at 12pm on 8/19. Thanks for catching that, we will put it on future copies. That's correct, unless noted, they should be 1-day events.

Where is the closest airport to this? and how far is the taxi drive/ cost of taxi?

Ft. Lauderdale/Hollywood airport is like 6-7 miles or a 15 cab ride from the Casino.

Our next $250 Mega for the $2,200 main event will be July 7th at 2pm. We have already seeded in 58 players. It should be a good one. The next meaga for the main will be August 4th at 2pm.

Prior to moving into the Ballrooms, we will run a Player Appreciation Satellite series the 1st 9 days of August. These will be rake free and guarantee 2 seats.
