You will need to take that copy to the poker room and speak with the shift manager. They will assist in getting your entry ticket.

casinos dont like to sweat guarantees. no reason for them to make even more enormous guarantees that may or may not hit. as long as these guarantee create the fields that they are no reason to mess with them.

Apparently there's been a $5-$5 uncapped PLO game running. Not sure if that's normal outside of the SHRPO.

Bill congrats on a well run tournament. Blowing out the guarantees and even covering the small minor events. (no small feat).

I do have 1 question tho... In the $125 multi I know you wanted to play 14 levels but in 2 of the events you played down to just over 8% of the field. I just don't think playing into the money line is fair to the players in that session.

Nothing to do about it now, but I think it should be addressed in the future!

Money for the 125 is probably gonna be 6% because of re-entry. I talked to one of the floor supervisors and he said they discussed this after it was acknowledged a min cash in the first event likely didn't profit those that got it. So we're fine. Right now there's a little more than 10% and it'll probably be around that.

Best Western Fort Lauderdale Airport $64/night. Seems to be a decent place and 4 miles from Hard Rock. Several other hotels by the airport are a good deal.

For next year I would suggest starting the Sunday $1,100/$2,200 tournaments one hour after the 500k and 1mm gtd restarts instead of an hour before. By starting them an hour after the day 2 restarts in massive fields, that's 2 additional hours of registration that could have been available. I had some friends that busted with a few hundred to go that would have hopped in the 1k last weekeend but late reg was already closed.

Not trying to be a debbie downer, but I was curious if a tropical storm hits and the turnout for the main event is only 1,000 players (creating a $5M overlay) is the tournament still guaranteed at $10M? Would the HR just decide to cancel the main event citing the weather even if it isn't bad enough to shut down the rest of the casino? Is there anything written that promises this would not happen?

I, like probably many others, still have a sour taste from last year.

Thanks! The $125bi was set to pay 6% prior to the series so the percentage part of the rules should have been left out.

"Act of God" clause. There's always one written somewhere in the fine print.

I don't think Erin could possibly get there in time to interrupt the ten million guarantee.

I don't think they will have any problem covering this guarantee !

They need only over 2200 players.

Been here since event #1, haven't seen any lines. They allow you to register outside of the ballroom and at the cage in the poker room.

William: First, thanks for being available and communicative in this thread re the event, it's appreciated.

Also a question: Can $575 tickets won in satellites be used for event buy-in's (I'm thinking specifically re Event #7 $560)? I don't need change but want to know if it's possible. Thanks in advance for reply.
