The 8 p.m. megas have a 4K starting stack not 5K. Agreed they are soft-lots of mega-gambly Euros, etc.

Yeah you're right. Most starting stacks are a blur to me by this point lol

I had a tough time selling my lammers. I was slowly walking around "pushing" for an hour between the main reg line and the sitngo area, only got one taker for 500. A few people looked like they genuinely wanted to take them off my hands for face value, but said something like: "oh I just missed you and registered for cash". In the end, I had to get going, so ended up selling to scalpers for 492 each.

IMO the best way to handle this should be a 2+2 group that meets away from security and transacts for close to 500. the way people used to trade T$ on stars for like 99 cents on the dollar. I think it'd be ok to deal with the rest of the posters here and sell them for like 495-497 or something like that. I don't mind giving up a couple dollars to not have to waste time roving around and feel like I'm doing something wrong or shady

How often do the low buy-in STTs go off?

Best way to sell lammers is to sit in a cash game an hour or two before an event and just ask people at the table if they're playing the noon event or whatever... I see lammers being sold this way everyday and guys at the table usually want to play cash right up till event time and would appreciate you saving their time of having to stand in line cash in their chips then go over to tournament registration etc etc..

That exposes you to only 9 people. If everyone says no? Ask for a table change? Sounds like you could lose enough to effectively be giving quite a discount in selling them.

Johnnie, maybe the best way would be to start a thread just before the Series starts for buyers to post in. First seller that posts get the business. Like a for sale thread in reverse. Small discount given, of course.

what would u be losing exactly when the buyer has reds/greens he wants to get rid of in a hurry and would almost never ask for a discount? And its as if this is the last day 1 of the main where u'd be desperate..

What thread would we post lammers for sale? I like this idea. Figure if you buy in the main and save 5 bucks a lammer... That's 1/2 a meal at a nice steakhouse!

Because you'd have to sit in the game and play for a bit. It would look pretty bad to sit down and immediately start hawking your lammers. How many 1/2 players are playing bracelet events? You'd probably have to sit 2/5 or higher to have much of a shot. So the money you lose in blinds is effectively giving a discount.

I'm leaning toward playing the 1k today at 1pm. Any estimates on field size? I'd prefer to play a really big field. Would it be worthwhile to wait til tomorrow of the field sizes will increase as we get closer to the final starting day?

I'm sure tomorrow would be bigger. I see the $500 last night had 750ish runners for 35 seats and about 5k for 36th.

Does anyone know If there's anywhere I can ask how many entries there are in the sat without waiting on the line for registration?

Careful about playing the 2k 8pm, it goes late into the night. Last night's one (friday) finished like an hour ago at 5am, I stone bubbled. :/

How many people? And did you register at the main cage or over in the satellite area?

270ish. 52 seats iirc. I registered at the main cage but regret it- too many people buying into the main which takes a while. Just reg at the pavilion deepstack/mega line.

the money you lose in blinds to whom, other players? caesars? lol.

and you are assuming that anyone who sells lammers is a losing cash game player? lol... I guess the guy who sold $5K worth of lammers while making $3K in 5/10 the other night must've been a huge luckbox.. lol again.

My first 2k table was the softest table I've had all summer and I've played a wide variety of buyins in tournaments/satellites/cash games. I'd definitely recommend it if you're willing to deal with the nonsense that happens from 1am to 4am.

Thanks! I'll give it a try. Hopefully earn my way into my first main event! profitable series so far, but 10k still a little high for me.

I'll be doing a full TR after the main event as this is my first wsop, but for the last four hours we played an average of about a hand per 30 minute level. Deals were suggested, but someone always ended up taking the worst of it and disagreed (usually some guy who's got a 10.2k lock and won't take 10k). People berated both those who wouldnt agree to the deal as well as the tournament director for not instituting hand for hand.

Eventually he decided to do hand for hand because every table literally stopped playing and a "hand for hand" chant attracted the interest of the rest of the pavilion room. Additionally, none of the big stacks wanted to deal with the confrontations involved with calling the clock on the guy whose turn it was. In a few scenarios it looked like tempers were raised high enough for security to need to be called, but in the end I satisfied 53 other November 9 hopefuls by resigning as the bubble boy.
