Why would you fold AA? With 25 chips, you can still win an entire table worth of antes.....you could easily go from 25 to 250.

does not appear as if there were antes at this point

I think you're right...IIRC the SNGs dont have antes at all. In this case, I guess you should fold AA, but why would anyone care about this scenario? The chance of (a) having exactly 25 chips left and (b) it being the exact last hand before the chip race and (c) getting dealt AA seems is extremely small. And even the upside of making the right decision is pretty trivial...you still only have 100 chips at best.

We haven't raced off the 25s in any I've played yet, waste of time.

You should be able to sell them for face value. There are enough people who are sympathetic about when they sell them that they'll buy them from you when they are buying in full for events. But plenty do try to buy for less. You should not need to sell them for less than face value honestly. But you may have to have some patience to find a willing participant, particularly if people are just arriving for events to buy-in and there is no line.

it was an STT but it was only 4 handed so the best I could get to is 100 which I would get 100% of the time by waiting one hand til the race

That was not my experience. I haven't heard "no" so many times since I was in high school.

It's like asking a girl out. You can't just blurt out the date part right away you gotta start off with some bull**** about the teacher or exam and then segue into the date part. When I had to sell I did not get to test out this theory as I found someone I knew randomly cause I'm a luckbox.

The satellites aren't running at the volume/frequency they were last year. I was at the Rio 6 hours and only able to play one $325. It's annoying. To be profitable at these things you have to put in some volume. It's even worse at Venetian. It's Friday now so hopefully there will be more going tonight.

RE: The selling of satellite lammers - they are really cracking down on the "no selling" thing. A lot of the security guys don't give a crap, but there are plenty that do. There is a suit or security every 50 feet just about no matter where you are. I was making a sale and a suit started yelling at me. As hard as it was to sell, I think this is my last trip playing the satellite game.
Are you for real??? You should have told him to go **** himself!!! They make six figures rakeing the **** out of the players, the rest of the workers make all their money off tips, pure BS

What time do they have STT satellites until?
I'm planning on playing tonight when my girl goes to the club. Wanted to win some lammers before tmrw's event, but if not then prob play cash at aria or something

Until the Main Event starts in July. Practically speaking, they really slow down after 2 or 3 a.m.

I'm convinced that it's because they have gone to such extremes to prevent people selling the lammers. The people in charge are obviously not the sharpest knives in the drawer and would rather people not sell them (for some unkown reason) instead of making more rake, selling more hotel rooms, and selling more crappy food in their restaurants.

I haven't played a singe Venetian SNG where in past years I played several on each trip. The reason being that the floor are such major ***holes. Nobody wants to play them, from what I saw. I never saw more than one running and they usually had 4 or 5 going at a time. One night I stopped by and saw one set up for a buyin I didn;t want to play. I wanted to ask a floor if they could set up a different buyin, but I couldn't get one to even hear my request. I played absolutely zero at the Venetian this year, and paid not a cent in rake. Unless I hear things have changed next year, I'm not going back.

BTW I think moving the SNG's completely to the Palazzo was a monumental mistake. How do such stupid people become decision makers in these casinos? Who are the people most likely to want to play a SNG? Poker players. Where are most of the poker players? In the poker room! Not randoms wandering around the Palazzo. They need to have some in the poker room AND tell people about it (for all I know they had some in the poker room but I never heard about it).

Not defending Caesars' decision to enforce the policy, but the basis is not "Pure BS" as you seem to think.

By maintaining and enforcing the sole status of the lammers as "transactional objects of parlay bets" Caesars can legally avoid issuing W-2Gs to the winners in the higher-buy in sats; notice that there's no way to determine if the $500 lammer you're marketing is the sole outcome of a $125 sat or a fulltake from $1,060 or a mega. See Russ Fox's post on this issue.

Is the enforcement warranted?

Not sure, but the last thing I'd want to read about is IRS agents snooping around the Rio to catch tax dodging players

there was some dude chillin out front of the reg line tonight selling lammers, less than 10 feet from a security guard. seems like spotty inforcement, or maybe the dude was just really nice to the guard and he was ok with him doing it.

Yeah, I talked to one and asked if he was told to clamp down extra hard, and he said he wasn't, and didn't care if people sold them. The WSOP just put a whole bunch more of security out there this year. I've been yelled at by Security in year's past, but like you said, you never know.

Apparently so did Tommy; IIRC the STTs were moved to the back of the V's poker room during the first week of June.

I only played one and only lasted until the 400/800/100a level but it was amazing how much people were just trying to gamble at the end of the re-entry period and also once the antes started going. Would highly recommend them, even if you were showing up late and starting at 9:30 at 100/200 blinds with a 5k starting stack.
