I like the schedule you have presented, so far. Is it possible to add a level or two to the fixed limit tournies (HORSE, Omaha 8, etc) to make them competitive with the other summer series (GN, Aria, Binion)

Thanks

Hoping you could have a LATE start on the 0/8 event on the 30th. With no small events at WSOP on 5/30 and the 0/8 being a 3 pm. start at WSOP on 5/31..I would bet a lot of players are using this as their travel date ( Like Me ).

So if you have a later start on 5/30 for the 0/8, I'm sure you will get a few more runners of players coming in to start their WSOP...plus not issues playing super late since 0/8 is a 3pm the next day at WSOP.

Please DO NOT have a late start. The start time should be 11:00 a.m. Starting at 3:00 p.m. would make the event run deep into the night/morning (assuming the structure is decent and all the proper levels are added.) I do not want to play a turbo O8 event that starts at 3:00 p.m. I'd rather have a better structure that starts at 11:00 a.m. and can finish around 1:00-2:00 a.m. in the morning.

There will most likely be other O8 tournaments that week (Possibly Orleans/Golden Nugget/Binions earlier/later and definitely the Venetian after the WSOP $1500 event.) If you are an avid O8 player and have been to the WSOP in the last 8-10 years, you should plan on getting to Las Vegas at least two days prior to the WSOP event to play any warm up events and stay at least three-four days after to play any post WSOP events.

Chris, I agree with those asking for more early start times. You had so many tournaments and levels played in the first day that bagging did not happen until 3-5am. This is okay for a day 1b periodically, but way too many.

Also, as I have asked before, I do not expect great dealers at your events and I am willing to be patient and help the newbies instead of yelling at them. But, I do get frustrated when your floor personnel do not run an appropriate game. Many many times, the rules are not enforced as prescribed in the WSOP rules and the floor is way too slow to respond to requests. THis should be easy to fix. THese are your guys and you should expect them to be the best they can and use the rules as stated. We have to keep the game integrity high. YOur team is not helping as much as they should.

Lastly, you have now heard input from a number of people. You will not satisfy specific requests but you do a good job at listening to suggestions that are good for the masses and the game. Thanks. But isnt it time to decide and lock in the schedule, rakes, and structures. Many are trying to decide when to schedule time, flights, and rooms for their trips this summer.

Thanks for listening.

I asked earlier if there was going to be an updated schedule. Cant plan when you know nothing about dates etc.
I also would like to know if they plan a senior warmup event that he asked us to respond to

updated schedule is in the works as I compile the data from this thread. senior warmup unlikely.

Hi Chris, thanks for taking the effort to try to bring a better product to your players.

I would like to say the #1 issue for myself and the players I know is we like to atleast get 2x the buy in for minimum payouts, thats recs and pros. We mostly play poker tournaments for the action and prefer 10% minimum payout, and never even play 15% payout structures.

I know the dealers are stretched thin, but would also like some sort of progress in the dealers skill level, we don't expect them to be pro Aria or Bellagio dealers, but if there can be some sort of system to retain decent dealers with good hygiene would be good. Maybe extra training, idk...

Very much like the turbo 1 day 100k, they had great turnouts at Wynn. Would def play if the payout is 10% like Wynn.

Any chance we can bump the buyin a little higher on the tag team event? $165+$35 is little low as it will be split by 2 people. 300+50 would be awesome, but if you feel that is too high, a bump to 255+45 or 210+40 would at least make the prize pool a little juicier.

Something to certainly consider for the future I think. I like the less expensive price point though. Keeps it very fun and laid back.

I agree with the logic of "Hey man, each of us put a hundred down and let's have some fun!"

apologies if any of these have been addressed
-there should be a standard 2-7 td one day. i know there is a td mix which is great as well, but the one day 2/7 td was well supported last year.
-there should be a standard dealers choice, atleast 210+40 buyin.
-please look carefully at late entries. it felt like you could enter the tourneys too late and even though there are positives to this, im sure others can atest to how this degrades the integrity of the structures. i.e in a one day tournament you shouldn't be able to late register 5 hours in...

people complaining about dealers need to take a chill pill. its a challenge to staff this once a year event, and all in all, i think you did a great job last year.

My 2 cents on structure.

I think you should be using "Allen Kessler" approved structure. That is what you started using day one and should stay with it. It is what people expect. Part of the reason Caesars mega failed in the end is they changed structures. Stick with what brought out players in the first place.

Also I do not believe the early rounds are not important. In fact some players play deep stacked poorly and it is the best time to accumulate a large sums of chips compared to the blinds.

When will the tournament days be set and put out? I’m trying to book my trip out there and want to figure out what I’ll play and when I’ll stay. Thanks

Leaning towards this, only slight change I'm considering is removing the double 100 - 200 / 100 - 200 - 25 level. Just go right to 100 - 200 - 25 and add a level later in the events.

Could I suggest labeling the updated schedule as another interim version to elicit feedback?
1. It will help solidify feedback and double check all the proposed changes in the thread to increase entries.
2. With the Venetian and Golden Nugget releasing schedules over the past couple days (3/1), some of the "free dates" for mixed game tournaments (and possibly "marquee" NLHE tournaments) may have changed since those initial comments. (I realize the Wynn and Binion's have not released schedules yet.)
3. Another interim version avoids having multiple "final versions" floating around and problems like in past years.

Thanks for listening to everyone's feedback. I look forward to seeing the next version of the schedule and hopefully being a repeat tournament customer.

1 suggestion: Have you thought about adding (or swapping) a PLO event to Saturday, 7/7? It would fit nicely between the 7/6 $1500 PLO Bounty and the 7/8 $3000 PLO 6-max. (Also, the Venetian is doing a 2 day PLO/PLO8 mix on 7/5, and you're running PLO MTTs on 7/5 & 7/9.)
If table space is a concern, you could have a larger buyin amount for that day.
Thanks in advance for your consideration to this request.

You have your $300 Triple Draw Mixer on the same day as the Aria $470 Triple Draw Mix.

You also have your $250 8-Game on the same day as the Aria $470 HORSE.

I know there are arguments that the price points may attract different players regardless, but I think people will lean to Aria more due to the experience of their dealers in these games.

Plus with mixed tournaments being so frequent during the summer as opposed to NLH, the majority of mixed game players will opt for the higher buy-in event.

Definitely suggest moving these to a day before/after to maximize your field and schedule advantage.

Looking forward to it!

Minor suggestions (as we now received others poker rooms schedules):

- move the HORSE from June 7 to June 8: many non-NLH events on June 7, not so much on June 8... it would be good for the tourney's field IMO

- same thing for the Razz event on June 23: that day, one hour later you have a Triple Stud next door (at Aria). Same players... would be better to move the Razz to June 22

Again, thanks for listening to the players and putting together a schedule with a wide variety of games and buy-ins!

Agree. The 250$ 8-game could move to June 11 (zero mixed game in town that day) and the 300$ Triple Mixer to June 5...
