I would love to see a stud hi/lo also. And another Omaha hi/lo later . The only one you have is early and I can't be there till later in the month. I have a grand child graduating on the 7th in Wyoming. Please have one after the 15th.

I guess that it's the favorite format of the players.

You have only 2 on your draft (5/26 "Big Dill" $75+$25 and 6/10 "$40k in a day" $165+$35).

NLHE WSOP has 4 6-max tournaments (6/7 $1500, 6/13 $3000, 6/28 $5000, 7/11 $10000).

Maybe can you change your 6/11-6/14 Ultimate Goliath ($600) in an 6-max event (maybe with a $100 rake if it'a a problem). This event would be ideally placed between the WSOP $1.5k and the WSOP $3k).
It would be great to have another one around the 1st of July. I don't know wich kind maybe a "Big Dill" or a "$40k in a day" ?

Thank you.
+1 would be great to have more 6max events ! Even if it has an extra cost for the players (as proposed above..)

Re: Planet Hollywood GOLIATH 2018 Draft

Thanks for right schedule of mixed events the day after day 1 of a WSOP $1500 mixed event. I'm "hoping" i'm still busy on those days, but likely playing your events. 8game and razz.

May 31st - $1500 wsop omaha 8
June 1st - goliath omaha 8

June 2nd - wsop $2,500 Mixed Triple Draw Lowball
June 3rd - goliath triple draw mixer

May 29th - goliath dealer's choice
June 4th - wsop $1500 dealer's choice
From my perspective, having them the day before the WSOP event is optimal if they are 1 day events, and the day after the WSOP event is optimal if they are 2 day events.

I have played the 1500 WSOP HORSE 2 of the last 3 years. I would love to play a "warm-up" 1 day HORSE tourney the day before. BUT, if it is a 2 day tourney, there is no chance I'm registering it and possibly missing out on the 1500 tourney that I traveled for. Conversely, if I bust the WSOP on day 1, having a second chance option the next day is really cool, and I would be interested in firing that, whether it is a 1 or 2 day event.

I would like to see a dealer's choice in the $200 to $400 range on June 3rd. That's the day before the WSOP $1500 dealer's choice. Thanks for taking suggestions and for creating a great schedule!

Re: Planet Hollywood GOLIATH 2018 Draft

I don't understand the desire to continue to make your Main Event a bigger buy-in tourney, especially as you've scaled back the overall scope of your other tourneys. I don't necessarily think that is a bad idea, by the way, but your positioning of the ME continues to puzzle me. Here is the evolution of your ME over the years...

Year Buy-in Rake GTD Field Revenue
2015 1150 0.07 1MM 1602 128,160
2016 1600 0.09 2MM 2332 349,800
2017 2000 0.1 2MM 1318 263,600
2018 2200 0.09 2MM ?? ??

Its clear 2016 was the high point as far as popularity is concerned, not to mention revenue for PH from the ME. Then last year you made the tourney more expensive, both overall and from a rake standpoint, and you made the structure worse (at least faster). And there was no change in guarantee commiserate with the buy-in change, even though the year before the prizepool nearly doubled your guarantee. The result was a lot less popular event and you made a lot less money.

Now, this year, you've brought the rake back to 2016 levels and improved the structure a tiny bit, but you've also made the overall cost of the tourney more expensive and once again, have the same guarantee. I just don't see how the proposed ME is at all more attractive compared to last year. And last year was a big disappointment coming off of 2016.

If you run this event, I would guess you'd make your guarantee (it would be hard not to with the increased buy-in and 4 entry flights). But it hardly seems like it will be an optimum event from a revenue standpoint. You should give strong consideration to returning the event to the 2016 format.

Don't you think that 6 max lovers will be in town between the WSOP $1,5k (6/7) and the WSOP 3k (6/13).
I think you can convert more than 1 event because I know a lot of play who are searching only short handed formats now. Why don't you try the 8-handed format wish is a mix between 6max (real poker) and full ring (sleeping poker) ? I know it's a little bit more difficult and expensive to organize but i'm sure that a lot of players are ready to pay more rake to play this kind of event and I'm sure you will have a real success.

Agree with this. The last 2 years I have been in town for a week during the collosus and have played a six max event at PH each time that seemed to have a great turnout.

Is this held in the regular poker room at PH? Doesn't seem big enough.

Upstairs...lighting leaves something to be desired, but definitely not on the main floor.

I belive 27/6 would be great. I do not think you should have a 6-max between 6/6-18

read rest of thread - strongly agree that [350,5000] are buy-in lvls that can be improved on for PLO, although id add lvls rather than reduce the HR buy-in - a couple of 1k-1.5ks would likely do pretty well, it seems a very neglected price range outside of WSOP. no strong opinion on making the 5k 1day, but i do think reentry should close earlier than last yr.

I second this. 27/6 would be perfect for 6max. No need to cramp that in between 6-18 June.

Date was the biggest issue last year IMO. Now we are served to be a nice warm up to the wsop main. Rake % also lower YOY.

I seem to recall suggesting that the scheduling of the ME last year was not ideal.

Anyhow, I don't think the scheduling alone accounted for a 44% drop in attendance (and 25% drop in revenue, despite the higher rake value) from the previous year. And while I agree the relative dates are better this year, its not like its perfect. You'll be going directly up against the WSOP 888. The two tourneys are obviously different with somewhat different (though overlapping) customer bases. But still, I don't know if going directly head-to-head against a WSOP featured event is ever a good idea.

Like I said before, I doubt the ME is in danger of being any sort of flop. Its just that, on paper, its becoming less appealing each year. And I can say that because I've played it each year and in 2018 I'm on the fence at this point.

Re: Planet Hollywood GOLIATH 2018 Draft

Couple issues with the draft.

Will chops be allowed at final table? I don't recall, but I remember they weren't allowed last year?

75 + 25 seems like a wierd price point for your big bill NLH. I would rather prefer around the 150 dollar buyin level. 100 dollar seems too low and too high of a rake.
