Anyhow, I don't think the scheduling alone accounted for a 44% drop in attendance (and 25% drop in revenue, despite the higher rake value) from the previous year. And while I agree the relative dates are better this year, its not like its perfect. You'll be going directly up against the WSOP 888. The two tourneys are obviously different with somewhat different (though overlapping) customer bases. But still, I don't know if going directly head-to-head against a WSOP featured event is ever a good idea.
Like I said before, I doubt the ME is in danger of being any sort of flop. Its just that, on paper, its becoming less appealing each year. And I can say that because I've played it each year and in 2018 I'm on the fence at this point.
