Today's $150+25+5 got 174 runners for a $26,000 prize pool. It's crazy that an organized and [poorly] promoted "championship" series gets 174 runners on their opening day event and Parx up the freeway a few exits got 384 last Tuesday for their weekly Tuesday $100+20.

Granted today was a noon start on a workday. Tomorrow's noon tournament should have a good turn out.

195 for a Sat NLHE....they prob expected double that but advertising was non-existent. My friend got an email on Sunday. That's the only way we knew about it...plus this thread obv.

Can't see them meeting the 10K guar on the PLO tmrw. 3K overlay FTW!

Regardless, I'm excited to play whether it gets 70 or 170.

Parx had 135 today, little higher than 105-115 lately. I plan on playing plo tomorrow. I hope it is only 10-11 hours at most.

I'm not a big fan of Harrah's Chester (although I was one of the 174 runners on Friday). But your comparison to Parx really isn't fair because, as you noted, Parx offers only one tournament per week at night, while Harrah's Chester has two tournies a day, every day.
If you spread those 384 players out over 7 nights, that would come to 54 players a night. I know - you can't mix apples and oranges but that's what you're doing.
Plus I can't stand the crater-size potholes in the Parx parking lot and, on most days, a LONG walk in the hot sun to get to Parx East (could use a shuttle bus like Disney World). At Harrah's Chester, you don't have that problem with the 7-story parking garage and no exposure to the 100-degree blazing sun where this fair-skinned dude tends to cook like a freaking chicken on a rotisserie.

I busted at 2:30pm when I played a 90k pot with my AA vs KK AIPF (no shot) . . .

I'll be there for the 6-max on Tuesday and the Main on Saturday. Has the staff had a good hold on things (except for 11-handed w/ 4 tables left)? How late the tournies been going? Anyone else going for 6-max?

Are you kidding??
What happened? Past a dealer's bedtime?
Just as you get close to the money, you have to sit on someone's freaking lap (figuratively speaking)?
I've played in and seen a lot of crazy stuff over the years (WSOP, WPT, etc.) but that is one of the most egregious ever.
I would be pissed and vocal about it.

Eh, half dealers were beyond slow...I'll give them credit though for actually having the stones to DQ the guy for putting his chips in his pocket, even though they announced it clearly and its obvious not to do, we all were shocked they followed through.

They miscounted how many people were left when breaking down going from 5 to 4 tables. Instead of 40 left, whoops there were 41. So they just put this guy randomly in a seat out of the 4 tables, in between seats 2 and 3 on our table. What a joke.

There was alot of talk about this last night, and most people were split. I will prob play Chester.

I'm not playing plo today even thought I really wanted to.....1st I can't imagine how slow and the mistakes dealing it will be, and with the bbj still over $330k I'd rather just play cash after the min cash yesterday.
