I live in the Philly suburbs and have played the tourney before. When it ran in July there were 500 entries in just the first four starting sessions (there was a 1E as well) and the prize pool passed $250K. As for where to stay, it depends on whether you need to be close by for walking or are willing to take an Uber from, say, Center City. There are several hotels in the vicinity of Philly Live to choose from, but I've never used them and so can't help you there.

I'm thinking of playing this one, most likely the Friday morning 'day 1C'. I'm an old guy with an immunocompromised wife, but last week got the omicron booster, and so feel good to go.

Being smack dab in the South Philly stadium complex, it will help for day 2 on Sunday that the Eagles are playing Monday night and the Phillies will be in Atlanta, as Philly Live charges $30 for 'event parking' when one of the teams is playing there later in the day. LMK in a message if you decide to play 1C.
