Had one player in an event elsewhere who claims to have had an interest in dealing PHo but was told they (PHo) did not want to be hiring new people after the start of the series. Disappointing if true given the lack of quality displayed by some so far, both from experience at table and reports from others. Goal should be quality, even if they came to the potential job request process after a series begins...

I was three-plus minutes into Level 1 in an event yesterday before I saw my first card. That is inexcusable...TD's apparently heard from others as well and stated that dealer had been removed from the room.

Other dealers failed to have control over the table though, and THAT is as big a problem as not knowing the game to begin with. I know it is early, but I am not likely to play anything else there this year...

Part 1 is false, we are still hiring and welcome experienced dealers. They may email me at Cgawlik@caesars.com.

As always, if you experience an issue with a staff member please DM us on our Twitter account @Ph_poker and we will observe / correct the staff member in question.

Good to hear...more experience is definitely needed there.

Your Twitter account is apparently not set up to accept DM's from people who you don't follow. I received a reply to DM and was unable to do so. Given that Twitter has the option (or did in the past) to accept DM's from those that you don't follow, it should be enabled for the house account.

The other problem is that, by the time a DM or even a publicly viewable message can be sent, the damage is done. Observation or correction may help others down the road but does not fix the issue affecting the player who needed a TD to help.

Unfortunately I ran into the same problem today (Saturday) at the 50k in day event, dealer was really bad, felt bad for her, the table actually did all the work for her. She couldn't get the antes right, slow, trying to deal turn/river cards without action complete. Very frustrating for a $250 buy in.

Roughly how long do the 50k in a day events last? 11am start time but am I looking at a 7am finish or something?

Anyone have any idea why results from this series are not being posted on Hendon Mob

http://pokerdb.thehendonmob.com/fest...hp?a=r&n=22312

like every other venue? Does this mean they are not being made readily available by PH or is Hendon Mob just dropping the ball?

PH isn't the only one running behind...Venetian is also behind the curve on reporting. I have to figure that Hendon Mob reporting is probably not real high on the priority list for a TD relative to other duties related to running a series...

I wouldn't expect it be a high priority at all, but PH seems to lag behind most/all of the rest at reporting results, unless you count their twitter which is sort of a PITA.

They haven't posted everything, but Venetian posted results for almost all of their tourney the first two weeks of their series. I don't see anything for PH yet.

setting updated to receive DMs, my fault for not having that updated. The DMs go to me...I can assure you that I will have a staff member observe at the moment the DM is received.

Done with this series. Final straw, late reg $100k yesterday, was no line at all. They had 3 of us start a table when all others were 8 or 9 handed. Too lazy to just fill us in to other tables. A rude lady was running the tourney. I said something to the supposed TD, he said it should start 5 handed, but he just sat there and watched as we played 3 handed until others signed up. They don't give a **** about players here and just rude staff overall. I can tolerate new/bad dealers to an extent, but not rude/ignorant staff. Same last year as I came back to an 11 handed table for day 2. Save ur rake for other venues.

Nothing has really changed since the first year. TDchrisg seems sincere when he posts here, and maybe he really is, but few of the other employees involved with this series are. A lot of the crappy things I saw the first year still happened the second year, and then again this year. I did one event this year, which was more than enough for me.

Thats just wrong. You never seat people directly from the reg line into a new table.

Creates a biased draw and possibility for collusion if players in line are friends.

So easy just to pull big blinds to create a new table and feed new players randomly into the open seats.

Disappointed Chris...

100% correct...a mistake was made by the staff member seating guests. I learned about this well after the fact, had I learned sooner I could have corrected.

Hiring and properly training competent staff members is a great way to prevent errors like this from occurring.

Never had something that bad happen, but during last year's ME, I reg'ed and was seated at a new table where we played 6 handed for a solid 30 minutes while all other tables were completely or nearly full. They even started opening additional new tables before ours was filled. Not sure if any of that is going on this year, but its certainly something they need to work on if it is. I don't expect completely balanced tables, but playing short for 30 minutes was kind of egregious,.

Incorrect. Actually I walked over and told you specifically what was happening, and you sat there while I walked back and within 5 minutes or so we were dealing 4 handed, one other showed up. No effort whatsoever to stop it.

Chris - I just wanted to say thanks again for putting on the 2-7 triple draw today, and congratulations on the turn out. The event was well run and the dealers knew what they were doing more than the players did!

Please do it again next year and if it is a day or two before the WSOP event, I'll definitely be back. Phamous Poker Series GOLIATH 2017

I have good memories from the Goliath last yr since I binked one of the smaller $120 tourneys (the only tourney I played there). Seemed well run. The only issue was they were blasting some death metal station on the radio which was awful, but I figured it probably bothered the other players more than it bothered me. Definitely +ev. Will try to return for at least one tourney later this month.

Dealers were absolutely atrocious today in the Goliath. We basically had to hold their hands while they tried to figure out how to give change for people's ante's. They didn't know basic rules like who has to showdown when a player is all in. It was really poor and fair to say I'll probably never play another PH event
