Chris, awesome schedule! Two suggesiontions...make the 5k plo a couple days earlier. The 25k wsop plo is on 7/5. And make the plo/plo8 a couple days later. It is the same day as $1500 wsop plo.

Great schedule!! Will you be posting structures for the 20K in a day and the 50K in a day events?

good feedback on the PLO HR. let's see what others say. and that's why we have two flights for the PLO / PLO 8. if you bust (we hope you don't) from WSOP then you can hop over to Ph 6/21 for the afternoon flight or play the day flight 6/22.

Great schedule and thank you for including the 2-7 TD. The way you listen and respond to players is second to none.

I think that's ideal for events that correspond to the WSOP events. I prefer that to events the day before. As an example, I am flying in for the WSOP HORSE. I would be concerned to play a smaller 2 day HORSE the day before, because I don't want to miss the WSOP one unless I'm very deep in the other. (not requesting you to change the HORSE or rework anything, just offering feedback for a general goal. I do know other people like it the day before to get a "warmup" in).

The grand finale restart has typo in the date. Says the restarts are in June rather than July.

Let's reopen the 10% / 15% pay scale conversation for multi flight events. Please note our structures
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4_...ew?usp=sharing

I'm a fan of 15% in the money and paying day one but the only event that seems like it could happen (without playing a ton of levels day one) is the Low Roller event. Day ones are slated to be 16 levels for events with 40 minute levels, 11 levels for events with one hour levels, and 20 levels for events with 30 minute levels.

Chris, I know you are taking a shot with the 5k plo, but can you slap a guarantee on there, even if it's a small one!

I like 15% paid too but it does not seem very realistic to get in the money in one day with your structures. It's a great problem to have: the structures are really good!

Let's take the first event, the Ultimate Goliath. The tournament starts a 11am, and with 16 levels and a dinner break, play will stop around 11.30pm! It's more than enough, adding more levels is not a great option IMO.

My guess is, even with 15% paid, you won't reach the bubble before level 18 or 19.
That would be a really loooooong day, not a great experience IMO.

Could work only for events with 30-minute levels or with the Goliath Milly where players get "only" 20k chips to start with.

I stick 15% being good for the game. I understand payout may not happen until early day two but earlier than 10%

typo on Big O restart. should be 7/6 instead of 6/6.

Great schedule, a lot of these events will be on my list for sure. A question about the second round of the $600 Ultimate Goliath, starting on the 17th: schedule says day2 restart is on the 20th at 2pm. However, there's also a day1D flight starting at 11AM the same day. Typo?

Chris,

I feel like this schedule was made without even looking at the Venetian schedule, which has been out for many weeks. I’m all for competition, and assuming you’ve ironed the number of issues which have plagued the Goliath the last couple years, I believe you guys will run a good series. But to purposefully butt heads seems to be counter-productive.

Your Goliath Mily (starting 6/4) is going against the MSPT 2.5MM Guaranteed event. Unless you significantly loosen your structure, I think your event will go into day 3, making it pretty difficult to play both yours and theirs. They take less rake and have a much bigger guarantee. I think yours might be D.O.A if you keep it where it is.

Your second Ultimate Goliath Stack 500K GTD (starting 6/18) is going up against both an $800 800K GTD and a $1600 2MM GTD. While the difference in value between your event and theirs is not quite as stark as the above example, it still seems an odd spot to include one of your premier events. You will certainly not get nearly the field you would on some other days. I won't be able to be in town that weekend. But if I were, I would likely choose the 2MM guarantee 100% of the time.

Your $2000 2MM GTD Main event is going up against their $3500 3MM guarantee. Again, from a value standpoint its close, so people can make up their own mind which they prefer. And unlike the first two examples above, it would be possible to play both events in this case (that is unless a player makes day 2/3 at the Venetian). However, why would you schedule your Main event to overlap at all with any other event which is even close, particularly since its mid-week and will not get a boost from any weekend? Also, regarding your Main Event… you increased the cost of this event over last year, and you increased the rake over last year (its even more rake than your cheaper Grand Finale event), and you kept the guarantee the same. So, on top of the questionable scheduling, this event is less attractive than it was last year. You need to rethink this.

Unless you’re prepared to significantly increase your guarantees in these events, giving players a compelling reason to choose yours over the Venetian’s, your scheduling choices for these premier NLH events is, at best, going to just cannibalize whatever number of players there are, needlessly costing both you and The Venetian money. And at worst, some or all of these events might be huge duds for you.

By releasing your schedule so much later than the competition, you are disadvantaged in that you have to work around others to some degree. However, it can also be an advantage since it allows you to properly distinguish your events from others and choose IDEAL scheduling. From an NLH standpoint, this schedule is far from ideal and I believe will really hurt the numbers for this year’s Goliath in a significant way.

This worked for me. Depending on how long late reg is I'll jump into the HORSE on the 6th (my flight lands at 12:14 PM...so it's gonna be a close one). Goliath PLO is an option for me as well. Also the Omaha 8 on the 9th.

I was debating between Aria HORSE on the 6th and PH on the 6th..but this is winning out for me as I like smaller buy-in limit events. I wonder if PH could hold my luggage (one big suitcase) while I play? I ask only because it's going to be a race for me to get there on lime probably...depending on again how long late registration goes for.

PH is my favorite venue to play at in the Summer, so I'm excited to be getting some events in.

Chris,

If you end up moving either the $500K Goliath (6/17-6/21) or the $2MM Ultimate Goliath (6/27-7/1), then you might consider these dates for the PLO/PLO8:

6/17-19, 6/18-20, 6/19-21
6/27-29, 6/28-30

I believe the bolded would be the most ideal.
Was hoping for more PLO8 than a mixed PLO where day 2 conflicts with day 1 of WSOP 1.5k PLO8... and a 400 Big O that goes H2H with Venetian's mixed PLO, but I understand you have constraints.

5k PLO where it is after the Grand Finale seems perfect. I wouldn't play it if it got moved earlier.

pretty much every weekend a casino has a big tourney so there will be some over lap between series.

None of the events I mentioned are weekend events. And while some overlap may be unavoidable, one can still schedule competing events so that players don't have to choose one or the other. The way Chris has scheduled some of these, he is forcing players to choose. And he hasn't made a particularly convincing case to choose PH. Some players will still do so, of course. But many will not. I don't get why he would risk it with his biggest guarantees.

don't know why the bell couldn't hold it...I've dumped stuff at a bell desk after checking out of a place even though I was not going to stay where I was having it held. The bell staff don't really care...except about their tip
