Great structure. Nit question: If you do make the top 10 chips for event 1, which receives free entry to the 500, can u receive cash if unable to play?

I love that there's been so many comments about how the structures are Chainsaw approved and how awesome they are, yet it just skips 12k-24k. I guess when you're folding into the money you don't have to worry too much about the second column of levels on the structure sheet.

Nice post by Matt; and, the structures do look good. I'm all-in for the 300 tourney. You guys should definitely check out the promotional video in the post cos it's pretty cool.

Good luck all!

When will the structures be out for the other "non main" events?

Honestly did not notice the 12000-24000 level was skipped. I'm sure Matt will considering adding it because it definitely should be there for us guys/gals that make it that far.

Good catch

Almost died at this line. #teamallenberry

Looks like a great series. May have to play the 300, very nice that days 2 and 3 are on the weekends so we only need to take one day off (in before lol at 1 bullet).

I didn't notice either. If it really is that important I can see if the state allows me at this point to change the structure. We are starting with 90 min levels at 2500-5000 blinds so all the blind levels leading up to the 12k-14k level would be 90 minutes in length. I am not sure we need every single mini jump in there.

As it stands now we have day 2 levels 90 mins each:
2500-5000
3000-6000
4000-8000
5000-10000
6000-12000
8000-16000
10000-20000
15000-30000

With the 90 min levels I don't see it being necessary to add 12k-24k but if you guys insist I will look into it.

It would be a good idea to check with Chainsaw.

And ask him why he didn't notice it.

To give people with multiple bullets the advantage... If I am incorrect, please feel free to make your counterpoint

As much as I love the structure and low buy in amounts, I dont agree with multible day 1s with unlimited re entry for three days. It tends to favor those with a larger bankroll.

I myself have only one bullet, So I was planning on playing the last day one, 1c.

Time will tell how it all plays out.

I agree that the 3 starting days are definitely in favor of those with a larger bankroll; but, it is what it is and it may have been considered to ensure the pot guarantee amount.

I'm okay with the 3 starting days; however, the notion of unlimited re-entries with a full stack seems a bit weird to me but I'm not the best judge here as Parx staff must've discussed this very topic amongst themselves as well - there should've been a cap as to the last level by which a person is allowed to re-enter on any of the day 1 flights and if a person got eliminated after such a level then that person could play again on the other day 1 flights.

Either way, let's see how it all pans out - I'm gonna play with just 1 bullet on the 3rd day 1 flight. Good luck!

i think they would have easily cracked the 150k guarantee with one or 2 starting days with multiple entries.

just realized (and i haven't read all posts itt) but they have a good fee structure compared to competition. I like the 300 are +30 and not +50 like most other places. that alone might be worth the trip.

here is my 2 cents. The whole theory behind everything is great. I love the "deep" aspect of this and how the blinds escalate slowly. Let's the casual player really get a good bang for his buck. However, a 3 day event for a $300 and $500 buyin is a bit too long (assuming I entered in 1C). I mean with the starting stack and the 45/90min levels you could really be playing until 4am each day. I think this could have been a 2 day event.

Also - it is completely crazy to have the other events start at 2pm. Again, that means they won't be done until like 4am as well. Heck, the weekly saturday tourney with the same structure had 108 people 2 weeks ago and I think it ended around 9-930 and started at noon. I'm sure this will have way more than 108 people so you are really looking at 4am end time. I think they should consider starting at 11am like the other casinos do for 1 day events.

Each of the Big Stax Events have clearly defined end times, 15 (45 Mins) Levels on Day 1's and 8 (90 Mins) Levels on Day 2's. They'll all end at a very reasonable hour. Way before what you mention. I can't speak to the non Big Stax Events but the 3 Main Events seem rather standard.

Hi All,

I live in Toronto and am considering coming to play the $300 tournament. I think if I fly out of buffalo I can get a pretty cheap flight. For those of you that might know, couple questions:

1) Is Philadelphia International Airport my best bet, meaning is this the closest one to the casino?
2) Any chance their is a shuttle to and from the airport? Or is there another way to get to and from the casino without breaking the bank?

Appreciate all advice. Thanks

Philly airport is your best bet.. Parx is about 45 minutes from the airport. i'm not sure about a shuttle... maybe someone on here that lives near the airport and is playing can help you out.. if not expect a 45 min cab ride.. im playing 1c of the $300 $150K .. gl

This seems like such an absurd complaint given the combination of a) I've never seen such a good structure at such a modest buy-in level; and b) the vig is 10%.

Looks like an awesome job, Matt, and I'm very glad to have stuff like this now to contrast with what you get at Borgata. Very good job recognizing that you just can't compete with them on sheer field sizes or high-roller stuff and I think you guys are doing a great job of appealing to the more casual players while also creating great value for the people who fall somewhere in between.
