12k-24k level has now been added for all three Big Stax main events in February. Thx for the suggestion guys - glad you noticed early enough to change it.

Ok 2 things. 1) Why are all the borgata events starting at 11am? So they don't end at 3 am. 2) People have work on Monday, starting an event at 2pm on Sunday makes no sense, let it end at a reasonable time.

Prob not, but I assure you the 12k/24k level has been added to each of the three main events.

Great structures! never been to parx but definitely coming in to play the 300.

Had this series been scheduled one week earlier there would have been a massive overspill from borgata series. It will still do great but id suggest a closer start date to the end of the next borgata series if you run this again.

These structures are the best youll find at these pricepoints

One question: as a fellow mixed game player, I was really hoping to see a mixed game tourney. Any reason that's not there? Future series?

I really wish there were more of these, some kind of warm ups to the bracelet events during the summer, which would be great to get more rec players into them.

You know I love all the games. It wasn't possible strategically for this series but we plan on adding some mix to the next one. I need to see our numbers for the O8 event this time around and go from there.

Anyone have any guesses on numbers for the 300/30?

I think we could potentially see 6-700 after all three starting days, what is the max capacity of players for day 2 of this event? Anyone have any idea or disagree with my estimate?

Unfortunately o8 is my worst of the mix so I won't travel the 8 hours to play, mix game at that level I wouldn't think twice, esp with the great structure you've put together. Fwiw I know they're kind of niche, but it is a growing area of the game as people tire of NLHE, so I understand what you're saying. Thanks again

Based on past turnouts for similar buy-in (340 bucks) tournaments at Parx, I think for the 1st main event (330 bucks buy-in), the following projections seem fair:

Day 1a ~ roughly 400+ entries
Day 1b ~ roughly 400+ entries
Day 1c ~ roughly 500+ entries (I think this day will have the maximum turnout due to the weekend aspect and folks staying in the area for the length of the tournament)

I think the total prize pool will definitely cross 350K for event 1; and, I think day 2 could easily have 250+ players after eliminations have occurred on the day 1 flights. The key to making day 2 would be to have a decent Q factor (chip stack to be as close to the average by the end of Day 1 flights).

Those sound accurate to me, but I think the day 2 number will be higher simply based on the slow and generous structures I don't see there being alot of eliminations on the day 1 flights

I think they'll have to be prepared for a big day 2! In the past, when they had big turnouts, they had setup a whole bunch of new tables/ seats for handling large volumes. See ya all there on day 2 if I make it!

I'm playing day 1a and I'm registering early next week Monday during lunch time (25-30 minutes from my work site in Princeton, NJ) to ensure I have a seat just in case they have volume issues on the actual day 1 flights.

The O/8 tournament last summer did really well last summer as you know Matt.. a HOSE tourney will get at least 60-70 runners and likely more... i hope those kind of numbers will still be worth it to put on big stax II... be there at 1c.. ty

I am planning to play the Big Stax 300 on day 1c. I may not be able to get there until after it starts (have to work a half-day). So, the question is, would it be better to pre-register early next week to ensure a seat (assume stack will be blinded off), or just register when I get there (start with full stack but risk long lines/shut-out if they have volume issues)?

Matt, I saw recommendations to pre reg for the main events especially the 300. Do you think flight A will possibly sell out, or is this more something flight C players will need to worry about? (in regards to the 300)

With work obligations, I wouldn't be able to get down to parx monday or Tuesday.

I've only played in a few OMAHA tourneys but I don't ever recall seeing an ante that is like double the big blind??? Am I missing something? Or is that a typo and the ante should say "or make it"
