might as well just say that every tournament on the whole schedule is directly competing against wsop because mgm and wsop both have tournaments every day, at multiple times every day, that make it difficult to to play both.
I agree that the 400 vs 1700 price point is not the same. But there is overlap. For example, I would play both if possible. And having tournaments running at the same time is not what I’m talking about. Of course, there are tourneys all over Vegas running at the same time. What I mean is, when two tourneys have the same day 2, you basically have to choose to play one or the other. I haven’t analyzed every single event scheduled to see if there were better options for MGM, but as it stands there are several events I won’t be playing, but very well might have were it not for their direct conflicts. As a newcomer, I would think MGM would try to make it as easy to choose them.
But either way, I’ll try to play their ME depending on how things go with other tourneys. I am curious to see what the event is like at MGM. Like I said previously, their schedule with its large number of day 1’s gives me a heavy PHamous Series vibe. That could either be a good thing or a bad thing, depending on which year we’re talking about. And, of course, we’ll have to see what they’re doing with their structures.
