To get back on topic, it seems Venetian is either anticipating having less tables or dealers. There's a lot of 1 day events and not many 6pm events if any during a lot of weeks.

And wynn released a preview

I was wondering about this actually. I played the $800 Big-O last year and it was a 2 day event.......we bagged day 1a at around 2:30 AM I think. I'm wondering if they will push a day 2 if it gets too late? I just don't see how this event wouldn't take two days after playing last year.

Likely shorter levels and skipped levels aka worst structure.

Interesting twist at the Venetian with them offering rake discounts of between $20 and $70 for those who register before the end of level 1 on many of the starting flights (thought not all). I guess they want people to show up sooner rather than later at these events.

Not sure if it has been posted as yet (with all the other crap being argued about here) but here is the Nugget Grand series schedule.

Has anyone heard if Orleans is planning to have a series this June? They released last summer’s schedule on Ap.9/22.

I’m a bit concerned that they may not run a series this summer.

Orleans is right up there with Playground Poker in Montreal for my fav. place to play tournys!

I like the Orleans poker room too, although I will say it is often very, very cold in there.

The Orleans tournament schedule was approved and should be published shortly, according to a post on Facebook by Eric Ewing.

Has anyone heard yet about any of the usual "other" tournament series' that we can expect this June?

I always particularly enjoy the Orleans series!

I’m pretty sure the Venetian and Wynn will be holding series, though I wouldn’t count on schedules coming out anytime soon. The WSOP hasn’t even released theirs yet and it usually takes a couple months for other venues to do the same after the WSOP.

........and it seems to get later and later every year. Within a decade schedules will released a week before events start!

not sure if that's better or worse than MGM redoing there schedule last year.

I like them too, other than their stupid policy of not allowing registration until an hour before the start(or whatever it is). I asked one f the higher ups why they don't allow it, and he didn't have a reason. So I flat out asked him to allow early reg and he just basically said "we've always done it this way". It's a huge PITA because you have to get in line before they even start registering. It really sucks to stand in a line that you know won't move for an hour. If you do get in line early, then you have nothing to do until it starts by there's not enough time to do anything else.

If you decide to not do that and get in line after they start registering, you'll prob be an alternate, which brings it's own set of frustrations.
