Slightly off topic here but wanna ask opinions.

I won a seat to the WSOP free roll for tournament of champions. Would I be stupid to play 2 flights of the $400 at golden nugget or 1 $600-200k bullet at Wynn on Tuesday when the day 2 of both tournies is the same day as day 2 of the WSOP tourny of champions? I’m kinda like yea prolly is stupid but I feel it would be a slight hedge on running meh in day 1 or the WSOP event. It’s kinda annoying bc that Tuesday- there is no real good 1 day events in my buy in range $400-800.

It would be annoying to have say average stack in day 2 of wsop and day 2 of one of the others however would be in the money if I made a day 2 at Wynn or nugget. Would have to blind out of wsop even though the structure is good so might be able to make a table with chips left if the other day 2 went poorly. Thoughts? All I see on Tuesday is a $130 at nugget which is a 1day. Maybe I’ll just play that and grind cash but idk yet? I heavily prefer tourny play to cash games.

Going into a tournament with incentive not to make day 2 seems like a bad idea. There are plenty of decent dailies all over Vegas which could be better choices than playing a multi day event which conflicts with an event which you are free rolling into. .

Why do you have to play a tournament that Tuesday?

I’m going to be in vegas. I was planning on playing the $400-40k at Wynn on Monday. Idk I love tournaments and want to play one that Tuesday. I’m hoping the orleans or another venue has a better daily tourny. I could play a $130 at golden nugget but that is way below my normal buy in range for non daily tournaments. I could just play that and play cash later in the day I guess?

I’m only there for a week in June for the freeroll so kinda wanna max my odds at a deep run and I love those big gtn multiple flight events. I might just play a daily bc it is kinda stupid to potentially have 2 day 2s if things go well. I saw the WSOP freeroll- prolly 30-35% of field makes day 2 based on last year- the structure is amazing for a free roll.

I think your logic is faulty. The WSOP freeroll has a prize pool of one million dollars. That means every stack that makes it to day 2 is worth thousands of dollars, even the short stacks...even the shortest stack in all of day 2 is worth thousands. Why would you let that blind away? The best thing for you to do is to just do something else on that free day, such as perhaps playing a one-day event, playing cash, folding laundry, whatever, and then playing the WSOP day 2.

Nah I’m going to skip those mtts now based on this logic. I’ll just play the $150 at nugget on Tuesday that is a 1 day and play cash at night if it goes bad. Anyone hear about orleans or other venues potentially running series?

It’s annoying some of those smaller buyin spots haven’t posted bc they are more my range of buyin. The $200-200k at golden nugget looks like a great tourny especially with 3 flights per day for 3 days- the structure is meh but I’m sure it’s fine if you get a solid day 2 stack + I’m sure field is super soft.

play the mystery millions wednesday and late reg the toc when you bust or make day 2

biggest problem with mystery bounties for me is i'm skeptical casinos go through rigorous methods to make the drawings random, even not including the fact some could be rigged.

If it is rigged, isn’t that a fraud ?

Do you think a 9 Billion $$ publicly traded company will take that risk ?

May be who knows !!!

The main decision makers of company would not be giving orders to rig the bounty

Would be an inside job by a middling guy and they split money, easy game

But controls are likely good enough to prevent shenanigans

Want to know what tournaments are going on while in Vegas for the WSOP? Here's an idea -- just load the BravoPokerLive app on your phone.

The tourney director is taking a lot of heat over saying the schedule is coming and then silence for the past 5 days. Obviously she's not the boss so it is what it is all we can do is wait. I've made all my reservations now but if something good pops up in that schedule I am willing to switch events but not to change flights and hotels. Being dead last to issue a schedule is definitely costing them players.

That's dumb. Orleans has a website. Why don't they just put it there?

PH hasn’t had a poker room in over a year and hasn’t run a series in several years.

South Point says they will just be using their regular tourney schedule.

My local casino in AZ is bad about updating their website. BravoPokerLive does a much better job providing information about upcoming tournaments.

On the positive side, Resorts World has a really nice poker room and the Horseshoe (aka Bally's) seems like they are putting more effort into their room.

I think the poster meant structures, not schedules. Just about everyone has released a schedule if they are going to have a series. But structures are still wanting from several venues, including ones which released their schedule weeks ago.
