Online practice prior to casino main event

I've won entry to a £550 main event tournament, and am now looking to get some practice in online.
The issue I have is that my usual online play ($2-10) doesn't seem to have much level 3+ gameplay.
Is it silly to crank my play up to $20-50 so I can practice for a few tournaments?
I'm very comfortable with the nuance and differences between live play and online, so don't need to practice that.

I would play live to practice live, see if you can find a preliminary tournament to the one you won the seat into and try a couple of those. IMO playing online cash is a totally different game from a live tournament.
