I guess what she should have said was that she was hoping that the two remaining women went heads-up for the bracelet. That would have been way more classy. But still, it was tongue in cheek, no big deal.

she was kinda joking, but it would have been better had she said something like,

"i wish that gal was still around to help me take down these guys....but since she's not, i'm happy to take the title of last woman standing."

nevertheless, i'm still pulling for her to go all the way!!!

One more to go until play ends until tomorrow and based on here:

http://www.worldseriesofpoker.com/to...=4948&grid=411

Tiffany is now 3rd in the chip count at 9.9 million in chips. She's only seperated from 1st place by 2 mil in chips.

Good for Tiffany. I only hope that if she makes the final table, she gets attention for her play and her skill, not because of her gender or her comeliness. Ain't gonna work that way, of course...

The chip count has her listed as Tiffany "Hot Chips" Michelle.

If that's a reference to the band Hot Chip, she just jumped like 3 points.

If it's a reference to how hot she is, she just lost like 3.

better for who? what? It was funny.

Well, immediately after she does say "No, really, no offense, no offense, I'm totally joking." Funny how nobody mentioned that part.

this has to be my favorite TM hand yet

Quote:
More Chipping Up By Michelle

The player under the gun opened with a raise to 1,500. Torgier Homme called from early position, and action passed around to Tiffany Michelle in the small blind. She put in a reraise, making it 15,000 to play. The original raiser folded, but Homme came along.

Heads up, the flop came down {10-} {8-} {5-}, and both players checked. The turn brought the {4-}. Michelle checked, Homme bet 5,000, Michelle raised to 10,000, and Homme called.

Fifth street was the {J-}. Michelle asked Homme, "Will you call 15 or 20?" He said nothing, and Michelle bet out 20,000. Homme tanked for about three minutes before making the call.

Michelle flipped over {K-} {J-}, and Homme mucked his hand. Hers was the winner, and she has moved up to right arond the 100,000-chip mark.

"Our goal is to broaden the fan participation base of poker. I would certainly love to see more women among others players," said Jeffrey Pollack, commissioner of the World Series. "If a woman made the final table … that would be terrific. And if a woman won, that would be terrific.

Nothing like having the tournament coordinator explicitly state for the record that he is actively hoping for and cheering for one of the participants to win. I guess after the Hellmuth "non-penalized penalty", there's really no point in pretending to be impartial anymore.

Ultimate Bet gets a free ad spot thanks to TM in this article. Her handlers are really screwing her. I'm not even rooting for her to make the November Nine anymore. Go Ylon!

"If Tiffany Michelle wins, that would be terrific."

Does that look like the kind of thing that a tournament director is supposed to be saying? Does that statement not pretty clearly express a preference of one participant to win over others?

Suppose Tiffany has a penalty overruled like Hellmuth did. How would that look now that the tournament coordinator is in the public media stating that he wants Tiffany to win?

I know I can never ask for a tournament director to be impartial as long as a woman is still in the tournament, but at least he or she should be refraining from expressing that bias as a matter of public record.

If Phil Hellmuth wants out of a penalty, that would be terrific....If big business wants us to whore ourselves out some more, that would be terrific.

Only problem is, the original quote was "if a woman won, that would be terrific"; thing is, he gave it when there was precisely one woman left in the field...

From the Tao of Poker blog:

I'm starting to piece together the battle for Tiffany's breasts... supposedly, PokerStars had a deal in place and she was good to go with them. However, she shocked everyone when she walked in through the back door with her ever growing entourage and sporting a UB logo and wearing a camouflage trucker's hat with a UB patch on the front. Maria Ho is sweating Tiffany today.
