Also, dont forget MAy 1 is a no-work day in france, meaning we can expect great numbers on the last sides.

A 2nd 5k would be great. Even if you have to remove the 5k HU. If it comes down to either having a 5k HU or a 5k freezout, it seems like a no brainer to make it a freezout. If people had the choice between a 5k HU that will prob get 32 ppl or a 5k freezout that will be 4x as big, very very few ppl would prefer HU.

Hi All,

Apologies for not answering anything on this post, but it has been a busy week and now I need to take off for Copenhagen. I'll be on more next week during the EPT.

However, I wanted to drop in the adjusted schedule. We made some changes and added and subtracted here and there. There shouldn't be any more changes, unless I screwed up the numbering or times somewhere and missed it I moved the 5K Heads Up to the front, we'll see how it goes, and added in a 5K "6 Max" over the last two days. I looked really hard to find a place for a PL Triple Stud, since we can only play Stud in London and MC, but sadly, no room Next year!

The 1,000 + 200 + 100 Turbo Bounty event is something we have been kicking around as a fun variant. It is 1K bounty on all players, 100 fee and 200 goes to a Winner Take all pot. So basically, if we get 100 players, everyone is worth 1K as a bounty and the winer of the event gets about 20K for first, plus his own and the second place bounty obviously. There is no other prize pool, just Winner Take All We'll see if everyone likes it or hates in April!

this one should be hella fun...suggestion: why not make it 1k+500+100, same split? Im pretty sure those who spend 1500eur entry would be more excited for a 50k 1st prize instead of 20k...

Hi All,

Ase - 30 - I just want to try it out once first. We don't really know what it is going to do to playing style, table dynamics, etc... So, just like Win the Button, Rivers, Ante Up, etc... we are breaking it in at 1K. If it seems like something the players love and we can make it a workable variant, I am happy to play with the buyin. Something like a €2,000 + €500 + €200 or even bigger. But we need to know everyone doesn't hate it first

Todd - 31 - No problem. I was glad I could find room in the schedule to add it.

Thib - 15 is tough. I could, but then I'm letting 25-30 sit empty for two hours which is a big waste to me. I wanted it at 12:00, but it is too crazy trying to sit that type of tourney against Day 2 of the Main. Plus, with 1 hour of late reg, it gives Day 2 players a 2 hour window to get in if they bust. 34 (now 35) can't be moved because it will take the longest of all the tourneys starting that day. May 1st is a National Holiday in most of the surrounding countries and so we think we will probably have quite a few players for those events. We are also really tight in having to exit the space because they have another event coming in behind us, plus the EPT Awards and EPT8 Wrap Party are scheduled for that night, so it would be nice to have everything finishing by 22:00 or so. As far as 31 (now 32), I'll take it under advisement. A €200 might go quite nice there.

Cheers,

Neil

About the Bounty WTA tournament.
I was thinking about organising a similar event .
I would do it with progressive bounty's.
15-25% of the buy-in would be a bounty in the beginning of the tournament. Then increase the amount of the bounty towards the end of the tournament. (so starting to increase it from ~the last 3 remaining tables)

How do the "reload" tourneys work?
Quote
03-01-2012 , 03:14 PM
Hi Raid,

Reload is essentially a Re-entry. The reason we don't call them re-entry is because we don't take a fee on any subsequent entries. We also didn't want to call it a Rebuy because you get a new seat. So we went with Reload

Hi All,

Agus - 41 - Still waiting on wiring info. 100K still the same. Prizes probably, not confirmed yet though.

Raid - 42 - Yes.

I've seen the layout for the Casino side of the Salle de Palmier and it looks like there will be four blackjack tables, two roulette tables, one craps table and six cash game tables. They have not yet provided me with the info for limits and rake.

Hi all,

One important note. IPT Grand Final has been confirmed and is running just after the EPT Grand Final in nearby San Remo. They will open with a 5K Re-entry High Roller on Wednesday the 2nd and have a 2K Main with 1A and 1B on 3rd and 4th. The 5K will use the same structure as the 10K High Roller that normally runs over the last two days of an EPT.

Renting a car at Nice airport always has been the easiest/cheapest for me in the past.
Maybe a train/bus is the cheapest option but having a car gives you a lot of more freedom.
