meh heathrow is def closer to central london then the other two are, dont think there is that big of a difference though. but id def fly to heathrow anyway. is there even a possibility to fly to any other airport (gatwick/stansted) ? b/c they're both pretty small and mainly European flights are landing there

I think Heathrow is probably the closest to central London and there is a tube station there

heathrow express is 15mins. gatwick express is 30mins, steanstead direct train is 45mins. check their websites, i think they arrive at paddington, victoria and liverpool street respectively, all have tubes ldo and cabs.

all 3 are fine tho heathrow >>> gatwick>>>>>>>>stanstead

One of my favourite parts of London before you guys went to UKIPT was when Ledders went to buy you an oyster card, and just as he buys it you pull one out of your bag and say 'I have this Oyster card from before. Will it work?'

I also bought a travelcard that day for hotkarlmc, fml.

It hadn't occurred to me how he got from Heathrow to Central London even after I spelled out to him exactly which ticket to buy and which train to take.

I hope to avoid the underground. Last time I was in London I found myself wanting to stiff-arm the people who overtake on the escalators. Seriously everyone in London seems to be in a mad rush, if people just barged into each other in Liverpool the hospitals would be overcrowded.

The only redeeming feature of the underground in summer is the opportunity to shoulder barge japanese tourists as they try to jump on the circle line without letting people off the train first.

I wouldnt have it any other way

Just keep to the left of the escalator if you wanna stand still it's not hard and there are signs telling you to do so.

Last edited by LostOstrich; 08-13-2010 at 04:41 PM. Reason: so standing on the left would be correct
