Decided to forgo Event 39 (Monster Stack) and play Event 42 (8-handed NL) at $800. It's scheduled for Sunday, after the Friday/Saturday Day 1's of the Monster, so a lot of those bust outs should be taking another shot. Figure I can still get the WSOP experience and a shot at a bracelet and score, just at half the cost and in half the time. It'll also free me up to play the $800 Seniors Tourney at Aria on Friday.

Hi all.

Do you guys think there is animo for a fantasy team bet for the WSOP. I know that back in the day it was something that has been held yearly, but I didn’t find a fantasy thread right now.

I was thinking about organizing the fantasy bet according the rules of the David ODB Baker fantasy bet.

Should I start a thread about it or do you think animo would be low for this kind of bets?

Pascal

There is not a seat guarantee.
210 goes to the prizepool so about 1 in 5 get a seat.

Approximately how many tier credits do we get for a tourney entry at WSOP?

I'm just weighing up whether it is worth staying at a harrahs property or not (if tourneys will have me close to a status/tier jump)

thanks!

Trying to find some information on parking near/at the horseshoe/Paris.

Wanting to stay a little outside town which would be a 15 min drive to strip — does anyone know how much I’d have to pay for parking each day / what the options are?

Thanks in advance!

How long do u stay? Check out Founders Card (ca. 500$), you will get Diamond Status immediately. No Resort Fees and better Hotel Prices. Will stay for 14 nights for Total 550$ instead for 3000$✌

Use my referral link for a preferred invite at: https://founderscard.com/membership?code=FCPHILIPP575

Pretty sure room rates are based on play, not status. A cheaper way to Diamond is the Wyndham business credit card for $99 which gives you Wyndham Diamond and then you status match to Caesars Diamond.

thanks guys, I'm only here about 3 weeks this time, but if I got diamond status, I'd probably come to visit much more often. Even platinum would make life much easier

Diamond status is worth the cost of a founderscard in almost all situations.
Realize when you use the following link https://founderscard.com/membership?code=FCPAT259 or phil8700 above WE get 20,000FC points for the "referral"
You can go direct to the site AT https://founderscard.com/home also. There are MULTIPLE levels of membership but you should be able to get a base membership for $295 and that is all you need to access the Caesars Automatic DIAMOND status. Trust me you dont have to stand in the long WSOP lines to buy entry, you get all the benefits ($100 complimentary meal, NO resort fees ($45 per night at Horseshoe), free parking etc.. If you spend 3 days in LV its a wash for cost and WELL WELL worth it. Now also realize Founders club does NOT accept everyone and it may take 4 weeks for Caesars to upgrade your status to Diamond so if you are going to the WSOP you need to apply NOW. Also you do get special free nights if you have an extended stay for the Diamond status (at least that is my experience and I currently have 70 TIER points LOL and you need 15,000 to qualify normally for Diamond. Another question asked is you DO get Tier points for WSOP events BUT they aren't all that much even for a $10,000 main event buy in ( its listed somewhere on the WSOP SITE but I can't find it at the moment,

Hope the above helps

See above answer for Platinum but a quick way to reach diamond and get reward points is to get a Caesars Reward VISA card or if you qualify thru Caesars Rewards Salute Card
You've had our backs, now we've got yours. United States Veterans and active duty military who sign up for Caesars Rewards® and show their Military ID, will automatically receive SALUTE, our new military Caesars Rewards card with an automatic upgrade to Platinum level benefits.

You can go directly to the VISA by this link https://d.comenity.net/ac/caesarsrew...sa/public/home

This gives you REWARD points not TIER points but you an convert those points to Dollars for meals or pay your hotel bill with them.

They will have STT flips for the main, so $1000 entry, or maybe $1100.

Free parking at Venetian I think. Ride the monorail from Harrah's to Bally's. Or check Sahara to see if parking is free and ride the monorail from there.

Setting aside the idea that abusing a policy is how free parking becomes not free parking… in order to save, at most, $5, a person would want to park in one structure, walk about 5 minutes to another hotel, and wait 5-10 minutes for the monorail to take a ride a couple blocks? And do this in each direction?

This would be an all-time nit move.

i'm assuming this site is updated. looks like a completely ridiculous eighteen dollar for a few hours at horseshoe. eighteen dollars.

i've heard you can try to get the caesars credit card, which gives free parking. but need to double check this.

might be better off parking somewhere free along the tram line and then taking the tram into horseshoe for like 5 bucks or so.

Just wondering if there is going to be a 2p2 meet up this year? If anyone has thought about planning something?

Also, does anyone know of any other poker groups planning meetups?

Question for you or anyone that has a FoundersCard. Can you use someone else's card for the perks? My stepdad has this card but he is not going to Vegas with me, so it would be nice to utilize the passing the buffet line for the Bacchanal buffet for example.

The tram is $5.50 per ride, or $13.45 for a day. I don’t get why people think this is a good alternative to parking on-site.

They have a 7 day pass, so that's like $8.00 per day. (I come for over a week so it works for me). And with the paving going on this summer its going to be a lot faster.

Short answer is no. The founders card basically gives you access to the various deals they have negotiated with other merchants. Since anything done is in the cardholders name or in the case of Ceasars allows the member to have their Caesars Tier status to be upgraded it won't be of benefit to you.
