After much shuffling and indecision, it looks like I'm in for...

Event #39 $1500 Monster Stack NLHE Flight A
Event #39 $1500 Monster Stack NLHE Flight B (if I fail to bag flight A)
Event #64 $600 DeepStack Championship NLHE
Event #70 $400 Colossus NLHE Flight A
Event #70 $400 Colossus NLHE Flight B (if I fail to bag flight A)

I think these are some of the absolute best value events on the schedule. Great depth and pace. Soft fields relative to the price point. I've played all of them before and have cashed the $600 once. Field size makes the big bink unlikely in any of these, but that's what sets the WSOP apart from stuff you can play in October and February. I'm embracing the insanity and hoping for the miracle run. I can always play smaller fields in August at Wynn Signature Series if I want a better shot at a FT.

I'll be taking two trips in June with a brief break in the middle. Will also be playing a lot of stuff in the $400-$1100 price range at other venues.

Goal is to bink huge and then play the Main. I have a third trip booked around Flight 1D of the Main, but will only play if my results in prelims are strong. I feel like it would be a great year to get in there, as it's the 20th anniversary of Moneymaker's win (which really got me into poker) and likely to be a record field. I think the number from 2006 finally falls this year. Hopefully I can be part of that.

With 30 min levels and all the standard levels, the structure always devolves into 20-25BB average. One can easily predict how many will reach day 2.

40,000 chips. Level 22 is 30k BB. 25BBs at end of level is 750k. That would be about 5.3% of field left.

2022 had same exact structure except flight d was turbo 15 minutes. 5.2% of the field made day 2 of the mystery bounty with average stack 770k.

Expect similar numbers but maybe slightly less because 1d isn't a turbo so more actual playing time will mean a lesser percentage make it to day 2

$2500x 52
$1000x701
$500x8( 4 $1000 divided in to 1/2 bounties)

Total bounties 827

As I understand bounty owner first select on the laptop or iPad. It will either say you won $5000,$2500,$1000 , and you win the amount. If your selection says “Gold Chests" then you go on the stage and manually select one of the 50 envelope and open it. It has bounties from $25000 to $1 Million.
* I was told on 4 occasion when someone was all-in and 2 players just called and check check to the river , $1000 bounties were broken in to 1/2 … little confusing but that’s how was explained to me .

Can a credit card be used to buy in to the WSOP daily deepstacks?
I did use a CC to register and pay for a bracelet event via BravoPokerLive.
I guess a related question is whether Bravo can be used to register for a daily deepstack.

Yes. You can register for Daily DeepStacks via Bravo using CC and print seat/registration slip via kiosks.

Strange that the events are showing on the registration page but when you try to register is shows this error:

I was able to register for the Friday flight but not Saturday 🤷*♂️

Is that maybe because you'd already registered for the Friday flight? Have people been able to early register for different flights of the same event in the past? I've never tried it, last year I just registered for Flight C of the Housewarming and didn't register for Flight D until I had busted out of C. I figured it'd be much easier to wait to register for a second flight than it would be to try to get a refund if I'd bagged chips the first day.

Yes Either Saturday flight is sold out or you first register for Friday’s flight, so system would not allow you to register for the same tournament.

they run 4 consecutive days unless there are multiple day 1's (which in this case they are not). So, prepare to grind it out for 4 days straight. Keep in mind that if you get to day 4 you are on the final table (which makes up for being tired I am told, lol). Good luck.

I like to look at the previous year's results for an event in order to get an idea of how many players advance each day, assuming it's one of the majority of events that are carried over year-to-year. This helps me plan how many days I'm likely to be in a particular event. For example, I'm playing the Seniors this year, which is listed as a 5-day event. It has two flights for Day 1, and the structure sheet notes that on Day 4 they will play down to the final 5 players. OK, but how many players will make it to Day 2, Day 3, and Day 4? I like to be optimistic and plan on making the money, but I'm not going to plan a trip around the expectation that I'll be in the final 5. For the Seniors, last year the Day 2 update noted that 1439 of the record-setting 7188 entrants made it to the start of Day 2. That's 20% of the field. OK, so I'm going to plan on making that, and have a back-up plan of playing a 1-day tournament somewhere if I don't. At the end of Day 2 last year, there were just 198, or 2.7%, left. The bubble burst at about 1:00 PM, and by the end of the day everyone left was getting at least $5K. Day 3 ended with just 18 players left. So yes it's a 5-day event, but for over 97% of the field, it was 1 or 2 days. I'm making my plans based on a nice deep run, but that only carries into Day 3. If I have to change my return flight and find a hotel room because I'm still playing into the evening of Day 3, I'll be thrilled to do so.

Absolutely they can be long at that time, especially since start times for most events have been moved to 10 am versus 11 am last year.

This was my experience last year: For the first WSOP event of the year I played, I registered online through Bravo. I paid a 2.9% fee for using a credit card, so the total was about $1545. I used a 2% cash back rewards card to make the purchase so I got about $30 of that back, making the net fee only ~1%. The day I arrived, I checked in at the ID/credit card verification room. There was no line and as soon as someone finished, I was next up. I showed my players card, drivers license, and the credit card I used to pay. The entire process took 90 seconds.

For only a 1% net fee, it was absolutely worth it not to wait in line for an hour. If you don't have a rewards card, it may not be as valuable.

For future events I wanted to register, I stopped in at the buy-in windows whenever I noticed a shorter line. In the future, I'll probably just deposit some cash into a TBIC account, then print buy-ins at the kiosk. Usually zero wait for those.

7 of my non-poker friends have decided to plan our annual friend trip to Vegas and will join me during my time at the WSOP. Without my involvement, they have come up with this idea that we're all gonna play a session at the same $1/$3 table in Vegas one night. For me, this just sounds like an absolute nightmare for the floor. I called MGM to see about a scenario like this thinking they might be in a unique position to accomodate (less traffic, $1/$2 instead of $1/3, Idk) and they treated me like an idiot on the phone for inquiring - fair enough, maybe? Anyway, does anyone have any experience with something like this? Thanks.

I used to work at a casino in California years ago and they would allow people to “rent a table” for a private game. I’m sure other casinos would, too…..for a large fee.

I’ve heard of casinos hosting a fantasy draft or bachelor/bachelorette party and providing a dealer for a friendly game, but that usually falls outside of the scope of a poker room and is more an events thing. I’ve never heard of a poker room doing anything like that. It may even violate gaming regulations.

Paving when it’s 120 at street level. What could go wrong

I predict shoe stores will experience a boom and the casinos will to have to replace all their carpets come fall.

Sorry sir but this will never happen.

WSOP time in Vegas is like the Super Bowl of poker. Your request is similar to asking a Super Bowl site to reserve a place in line for all of you at a beer tent. It's just not going to happen.

Hope you and friends have a great time tho/Good luck playing WSOP

This is just dumb. Just get some chips and yourselves in a hotel room and save the rake.
