I had been avoiding seniors tournaments the last few years because of a bad experience at a bracelet event. I decided to try a seniors Daily Deepstack this year because it was cheap and it has the familiar Daily Deepstack structure.
Two things stuck out to me:
1. About two-thirds of the players were stuck in a time warp circa 2005. First raise in they raised between 3x and 6x the bb, even 8 levels into it.
b. They aren't nearly as clever or funny with the jokes and old sayings as they think, sometimes to the point of cringing. A cautionary tale for sure.
No, didn't cash. Couldn't get much traction, and finally shoved deuces into queens.
