This thread is for those who want longer NLHE events, but have a limited budget.

The longest structure at the $150 buy-in point is a series of events at the Orleans (55 s-points)

At the $200-250 range, PH offers a bunch of tournaments (65-67 points)

The longest single day tournaments are the $365 events at Binion's (81 points)

Jumping to 2 day events, the Venetian offers events at their DSE and year-round at $340 and $400 (97 and 102 points). Events of this length are the standard at the DSE.

At $500 each, two people can combine forces and compete for a WSOP bracelet in the $1K Tag Team event (115 points)

The $ 700 buy-in event at PH comes in at 106 points.

For $1K, the Binion's main event is in a class of it's own at 162 points. With no guarantee, I'm not sure how big a field this attracts.

The WSOP Rio has 5 individual NLHE events in the $1,000 - $1,500 buyin range with S-points ranging from 115-131. These include the Monster Stack, Milly Maker, Little One Drop and a 6 handed event.

The Marathon is close to the ME in structure at 1/4 the price.

For those who like satellites/survivors as a means to bankroll entry into larger events, the highest rated satellites (36 points) are at PH. A $330 satellite into their 2200 buy-in event has only a 9.1% rake. Alternatively, you can buy into a Wynn Survivor for $550 (58 points) or look at the Colossus (57 points) as effectively being a satellite. PH offers slightly longer Survivor events (65 points), but they come in July after most of the summer events are over.

For seniors, the best 1 day events are at PH for $500-600 ( 65 points), but the lighting is tough on older eyes. The $400 2 day event at the Orleans (77 points) is a better value with only 12.5% rake if you have the time. The $600 /600K guarantee event at the Venetian is on my A list (92 points).

Thanks for the work!

There are certainly some events on your list that I did not know about or consider that I will now do so. Much appreciated

The double stack also deserves a mention.

10% rake and over 100 S points

Are the Planet Hollywood $250 tournaments better than the new and improved $250 Daily Deepstacks?

Who's words are those? Not anyone who's looked at a structure sheet. The only improved part is that all of the $15 increase in price is going totally to the prize pool. The 4pm and 7pm daily tournaments at the WSOP have better structures than the 1pm:

The $250 at Planet Hollywood has a far better structure and takes less rake.

Depends what "better" is to you, but the PH have more play in them, by a pretty sizable amount. One thing that might be a drawback is that the PH $250 Low Rollers require a multi-day commitment, whereas the DDS are single-day affairs.

It's not the only improved part, you get 5k more chips. Did you recalc for the bigger stack?

I don't copy data over year to year-- I use whatever was on the 2018 structure sheets as is. Just to be sure I pulled up both structures and recalculated them and I did both correctly on my site:

2017 $235 2pm -> 35 SPoints
https://www.wsop.com/2017/2017%20WSO...Structures.pdf

2018 $250 1pm -> 34 SPoints
http://www.wsop.com/2018/2018%20WSOP...20Combined.pdf

Other than the chip stacks, it looks like 2018 jumps up antes higher than their 2017 counterparts.

Are you sure they are taking the whole $15 increase in rake. I look and can't find, I thought that one of their tweets stated no increase in rake.

I said the exact opposite. Also, I subsequently provided both structure sheets which details the fees for both.

Yep, $48 was held from the prize pool when they were $235s and still $48 is held out now that they are $250s. $45 is held from the PH $250s.
