For Peru will there be any special activities planned?

Next year can we have the LAPT that runs in September be moved to October? So it does not conflict with WCOOP.

A month ago you had grand final listed for sao paulo, brazil for November 28th, somewhere around there...now its blank.

I need to book a flight from Asia, please let us know when you (re)figure this out.

one page of lapt.com website says grand final is TBA, but in november.

another page has a picture of each city and then text below saying specifics for every other stop, but for the grand final it just has a picture of Sao Paolo, Brazil and then a vague description that would hint at the fact that nobody yet knows what's going on:

Soooo, what's going on?


Not sure if its the same people running this, but APPT Manila sats have different target event information as well - where some lobbies lists the event as APPT Manila day 1b at Pokerstars Live, City of Dreams from July 30 - August 2. Yet another APPT Manila lobby has City of Dreams venue from August 6-9. Another lobby lists the event day 1b from July 4-7 at Metro card room. All under APPT Manila tab. So we have 3 different dates spread across 2 different card rooms for the same APPT manila event.

I'm regged in day 1a APPT Manila on August 6 which starts at 6pm. Could you please figure out what is going on? You guys have always been great in the past of keeping us informed and keeping things orderly

Can we play on Pokerstars while we are playing LAPT events?

^^ yes, among many other events last year in Panama was during a COOP and many people playing on tablets. Some venues seem to change rules but its 99% okay everywhere I've been. I've even been grinding on my laptop while at the table when I didn't have a tablet/smartphone. Never been a problem. wifi can be bad, bring your own connection

Apologies if the information currently on the LAPT website has led to some potential confusion regarding the Grand Final and I thank everyone for their continued patience on the matter. I can say that a full kick off announcement for the Season 8 final will be made during the LAPT Peru event (July 17 - 21) so check back here then as well as the LAPT Facebook page and PokerStars Blog.

Is that a unique way of saying David and Thomas have been relieved of their posts?

If that's the case it's big loss to the LAPT tour as this is the last of the Stars sponsored tours that got things right in terms of satellites.

James this is my first time coming to an LAPT event in years. What type of special events are planned for Peru? i.e welcome party and stuff like that.

The satellites for Peru have been sub-par by LAPT standards. Will you try to put a last minute boost with a 5 seat guarantee?

LAPT Peru schedule says the high roller starts the last day at 7pm.. is this a 1 day? starting that late? Please lmk because itll effect flights I need to book

Will US be accepted for currency by taxi's and restaurants? Or will I need to get Peruvian money? If anyone has been there before I'd appreciate the help.

What's the tax situation in Peru for foreigners? Is anything withheld?

Hi,

They do take USD in some restaurants, however Soles is the dominant currency accepted so it is advisable to bring enough local currency with you to cover things such as this. There are many places that offer currency exchange but keep an eye on rates since these can vary substantially.
