LAPC 2022 Schedule - What a joke LAPC 2022 Schedule - What a joke

Well, unless you like low buy in NL events, don't bother looking. This schedule is a huge disappointment for anyone who likes playing with more than 2 cards.

6 omaha events + 3 limit holdem events out of 33 total doesn't seem all that unusual. how many should there have been to not be a joke? what's the cutoff?

LOL, Oh I don't know. But how about we compare it to the schedule in 2019. This year, the buy ins are smaller and there is only one non-holdem $1K+ event. I guess the Commerce knows the market for tournament players (i.e., low stakes NL players who are oblivious to the absurdly high rake charged for these types of tournaments. I'm guessing about 20% when the structure sheets are released).

But just for fun, here was the schedule for 2019 (yeah, pre covid, so I'll give the Commerce a pass on a shortened schedule this year)

Yup and no good guarantees at all except for low limit buyins with like 8 starting flights. And even in those the guarantee sucks. With Omicron all over the place and Fauci saying it will be at its peak by the end of January, in a state like California I wouldn't be surprised if this tournament series gets cancelled before it starts. And I agree, the schedule sucks anyways.

Yes, I noticed that, out of curiosity I’d ask the TD on why such a change.

I’m sure there are more runners and money in a 500 NLHE than Archie but rooms have always tried to make money. Perhaps though because of Covid they just need a more standard money making machine

Disappointed no Big O tourney this year. I would usually fly out there to play the Big O tourney but not this year.
