I know of 'wsop9' for summer, but what is it for the wsopc events in feb? Couldn't find anything elsewhere in forums about it and no response from wsop twitter yet

Seems to be "ARWSC9", judging from the "SPECIAL ROOM RATES" link found here.

Even after the group rate discount, I'm skeptical that staying at the Rio is the best value, though.

Not specific to WSOPC, but try code "USA05". I think I got it from retailmenot dot com or somewhere like that.
