Golden Nugget poker room informed me they’d be running the Grand tournament series from September 28th-October 18th. Full schedule expected to be released in early July.

Following as I'm coming down for The Reunion at the WSOP but may have time to participate in this series on an off-day

I called the GN poker room today - apparently the card room manager is away until Wednesday and nobody else can suggest when the schedule might be released…….

Same time frame(end Oct. 18), or same schedule release? That would suck if they had a series end that early.

Grand Series schedule is out. They have sheets in the poker room even though they haven't posted anything online.

Can you take a picture of the sheet and post it here?

I am not in Vegas. I called the poker room and asked when it was to be released and he let me know any day now. We have sheets here in the room.

Great! Now did they print out on dot matrix continuous feed paper or just regular printer paper?

They sent me the schedule. I am so disappointed. I always play several tournaments there. I come in on the 6th and stay 17 days. There is not one Omaha hi lo, horse, stud, or razz in that time. All Hold em. I waited all this time for nothing.

Does anyone know if there will be any other ones going on during this time. Aria, Venetian, Binions, or Orleans?

+1. I also play several GN tourneys every time I go to the WSOP and I wouldn’t think of booking any dates without waiting for the release of their schedule. I wish I hadn’t bothered - could’ve booked a great rate a month ago but instead I waited for this dogshiit schedule to come out.

Orleans and Venetian for sure. No idea about Binions or Aria. Was told schedule for Venetian would be mid-August. As for the Orleans, I think once their current series ends, they will be able to focus on the schedule for the fall but I have no idea when it would come out. That’s what I was told by someone there.

The Venetian schedules are always just another hold’em orgy, with the occasional token PLO event to offer the illusion of variety. Too boring for words.

What is night horse?
Thats the event at 6pm on 10/08.
I mean, it is at 6pm but dont think that warrants calling it night horse.

And if the Orleans puts on a tournament similar to their normal summer series, theres nothing to worry about anway. I just reviewed their 2019 summer series schedule and my goodness its like non hold em/omaha paradise.
So many horse, 8 game and dealers choice tournaments it was crazy.

I do wish there were more straight stud hi and limit hold em tournaments.

Yes, the Orleans schedule for 2019 was great for people looking for alternatives to holdem. I spent about half my time that year at the Orleans, and every tourney was well attended

I have spoken to Ryan at Orleans, and while the schedule is not yet out, I would expect a good number of mid-price (~$400-$600) mix tournaments. I believe he would have gone a little higher price point this summer but kept it down bc of the uncertainty of the draw given the circumstances.

Is anyone aware of a hotel promo code or rates for these dates?

I've been researching. The short answer, unfortunately, seems to be: Not. A. Chance.

This is in line with the recent let's-get-all-our-lost-profits-back-right-now mentality that is pervading Vegas hotel/casinos right now. Everything's a ripoff, and there's no reason to believe that they don't see the WSOP as a golden opportunity to fleece another thundering herd of jonesing gamblers, this time, poker players.

While they aren't casinos, all the extended stay hotels in the area are charging almost twice what they did during the 2019 WSOP. And they're getting lots of bookings anyway.

I'm aware of a few cheapos downtown that range in quality and ambiance from "horrible" to "not too disgusting," and I'm seriously considering them as options, given the prices I'd otherwise have to pay.

I ended up airbnb’ing at Palms palace for the 4th year in a row. Unfortunately it seems to get more dated each year. I feel like I got a good price this year and it is still +25% YoY.

Is there a structure sheet for the main yet?
