Grand Poker Series 2017 at Golden Nugget LV, May 30-July 3 - WSOP and Tournament Circut

Good to see more non-HE events back in the lineup, but IMO the timing is a bit curious in some cases:

6/7 360 HORSE (day 1 of WSOP 1.5k HORSE)
6/11 250 PLO8 (day 1 of DSE 600 PLO8)
6/21 570 PLO (day 1 of WSOP 1.5k PLO)
6/22 570 HORSE (day 1 of WSOP 3k HORSE)

The PLO8 & PLO events are ~40% of the BIs of the corresponding event on the same day. I don't see the benefit of two matching/similar events cannibalizing each other.

GN held this event last year during their main event. It is a private event, players have won their seats through bar poker leagues all over the country.

Anybody have any experience with their ME? I played in a daily a few years back and enjoyed it. I've heard that their rake is worse but tbh I can't back that up with any actual knowledge. Either way, their ME coincides with the time I'll be out there and matches pretty close to my MTT range with the highest guarantee so I'm hoping it has a good reputation!

ME last year--great venue, great structure and mostly slower/older dealers. The field was not as soft as you would expect, a lot of familiar faces.

Moved my summer dates back a week just to play it again, one of the best values of the summer.
