First of all they were not ready for the players coming to register, they had a waitlist and people waited around for hours and then they closed registration and couldn't play. Also there was NOT a new table draw for day2. Yes, they kept the same tables for day2, which to me is unheard of.
Did anyone play their main in '15? Were there improvements?
I too was disappointed in 2014, especially with the quality of the dealers.
Straight out of the pits and the worst I'd ever seen. Will say they were apologetic and admitted they had little experience.
Some couldn't chop a pot, didn't know basic tournament rules, couldn't collect antes correctly, etc, etc etc. Multiple mis-deals per down.
I swore I would never return, but last year I did play the 8-game. Figured they would be using their more experienced dealers for it and they were generally competent. I didn't play any of their other events but heard the dealers were much more competent than in earlier years.
Since I'm staying downtown for the first half of my trip this year, I'm gonna give them another shot at my business and play at least one NLHE event.

I agree but think we are in the minority. I think tournaments that paid 25% of the field would attract much more repeat business from recreational players.
Unlike pros who hope for a large score with a top 3 finish, recs would love to win their money back and enter another event.

Beware the dreaded resort fee. A $49 room quickly turns into a $77 room when you add the $28 per day fee.
I booked a room at the 4-Queens via Priceline Express for $44 plus tax per night including 2 weekend nights. Admittedly not as nice as the Nugget but I only use it to sleep & shower and can use the $350 weekly savings for more buy-ins.
