Played the $250 today. Pretty card dead and busted. However, I'm pleased with the venue compared to previous years
- lighting has improved
- chips are clearly of different colors. No more confusion between the black 100 (now grey) and dark purple 500(now blue)
- chairs are still basic but seemed better than last year
- dealers were anecdotally better (based on 8 levels)

Long story short. I just finished the $250 quarter milly 12pm flight , I made day which starts tomorrow. Right after the last break , color about 1 hour before play finished I came back from break and am 80% sure my stack of 340kish was about 90k light. After a couple hands I left the table and went to the floor lady and said hey I think my stack is light. She responds we double verify stacks so that's not possible. I say ok. I sit back down. 5 minutes later I ask if she can see I they were taken after they were verified. She ok you were such and such seat and walks away while radioing in her head set. Play concludes , she never follows up with me. I go back and mention it to her, hey did they check my chips? She tells me yes, nothing happened. In the meantime the lady next me seems to be acting pretty sketchy. When I get up to leave table looking over her shoulder to see where I am going, such and such. Any how if theres a TD that is intrested in looking into this it would be greatly appreciated. I guess it never hurts to ask for a second opinion. It was table 55 I believe, seat 3, 2nd closest table to the escalator on the rail. I had plain green hat, grey button down collared shirt. I dont drink and is a pretty big tournament for me so I was definitely paying attention to things. Thanks.

I should add time frame about 930pm, during color up with about 35 minutes of play left.

The lady to my right in the 2 seat was helping the dealer race off the blue 500s. During that time I pretty much think she cuffed a stack of 90k off my stack.

Pretty good tourney with soft competition. There is a diamond/seven-stars line at the tourney registration (no signs for it and hard to see) that helped me avoid the insane crowds here. The Caesars VIP card actually is useful lol.

Got in the "quarter milly" today at 4pm and there was 507 entries. Tourney was played to lvl 15 and 61 advance to the Friday 3pm start.

Tourney started late due to mainly the fire alarm going off and apparently several dealers were stuck in the chip vault

After the 5:40 start and my 20K stack I was able to successfully navigate the field and bagged at 344K chips (from my scanning looks to be in top 3).

One interesting hand about midway that vaulted me from 50K to 100k was i had AA on button and the cutoff had QQ with blinds at 800/400. He raised 3x and i re-raised 3x and he called. Flop was KKK lol. He immediately shoved his stack and i called and he was pretty much toast. Fun tourney - was a little hot temperature wise. M

Sounds like turnouts & prizepools have been excellent. Is there any media coverage of the events? Only reports I see are for the bracelet events.

I played the 50K in a day on Saturday. Field incredibly soft, lighting is much improved. Most of the dealers through my table were terrible. They had trouble reading boards, creating side pots and many have poor English skills.

Cage staffed 3 hours prior to first event of the day until final event of the day ends, usually close to ~3am

I have never played at PH. I have a car and am committed to the idea of walking and not using valet to get into better shape. I know it is a long haul from self-park. Is it straight-forward on how to get to the tournament site if I play there or is there chance I will wander because there are no clear signs?

Take the escalator in the center of the casino(near starbucks).
I have never parked at PH, I always park at Bally's if I am going and walk. I get the feeling parking would be crowded at PH.

There's a lot of parking at PH, because they have the Miracle Mile Shops garage.

Ended up in third place for the 200k gtd this week. Overall a good experience! I think the structure is great, I liked the payout incrememnts as well. Like I said it was a positive experience overall which is what I would most like to communicate, however in the interest of making improvements I will mention the following:

Some dealers were good, some were not. That's life. However to have the two worst dealers of the day alternate between each other for the final table wasn't good.

They stopped drink service (of all kinds) to the entire tournament area after a certain point. "Last call" shouldn't exist in Vegas.

They don't leave enough small denominations of chips on the table in the endgame. We were playing 120k / 240k (I think) and the table was mostly just the 100k chips with a very small amount of 5k and 25k chips. So we were constantly making change for each other and the dealers kept messing that up.

The payout process at the end was excrutiating... one guy trying to process a lineup of guys waiting to get paid. I know it's late at night (2am) but that's when people are getting paid the big money that involves paperwork. You know it's going to happen so be properly staffed for it... all the players are exhausted and just busted and want to get paid and go.

Ok that's it I'm done haha. I think all of the things above can be rectified, so hopefully these issues are noted and corrected in order to improve the experience of people down the road.

One question, I don't see the results posted for these Goliath tourneys on cardplayer etc. I was wondering field size for the event I was in. Also, do cashes at PH get added to Hendon Mob? Thanks.

Thee dealers are on a scale from bad to absolutely terrible. Every hand the players were correcting something and several costly mistakes would have occurred if not for player intervention.

Some dealers could barely even shuffle the cards - and with short levels and everything done by hand it really brings the game down to a drag.

Overall the venue is really nice and everyone is very friendly. The actual tournament seems to be well run as well.

I'm not saying this is the case at PH, but on this trip I had a few encounters with dealers where I was convinced they were messed up on heavy pharmaceuticals / opioids. Definitely a table games dealer at Bally's, and the thought did cross my mind more than a few times in the tournament as well.

Dealing can be a fun and rewarding job with the right outlook, but for some dealers there's probably anywhere else they'd rather be than dealing cards to drunk idiots.

Glazed eyes, slowwww hand movements, delayed reactions, slow everything. Just not present. Self medicating.

I'm convinced that some dealers would be better dealers on some sort of medication and/or that dealers on medication would be better than many dealers.

Haven't played at PH yet this year, but they are already known for having little depth at dealer. What's surprised me is that venues that are normally known for having good dealers have a lot of shaky ones this year. It seems as if the turnouts are generally larger, but unpredictable. Sometimes there is a deep alternate list when event starts are shortly after, other times there is a weak turnout and it barely makes the guarantee or there is an overlay. It's evident some events paid the price for poor planning (limited interest game, wrong BI, and/or scheduling conflict with same/similar game).

For those interested in how the CC registrations appear at PHo compared to WSOP...the entries paid by credit card at PHo showed as Bravo Poker followed by their number in Spring (TX).

Entries paid for by credit card at WSOP appeared as Rio Suite Hotel and Casino, also with the Bravo number in Spring.

More importantly to some is that, as expected, the entries made through the Bravo site and printed through FasTrak consoles coded as a Sale in the category of Entertainment- Commercial Sports, Pro Sports Clubs. I used one card at PHo and a different one at WSOP (bonus whoring).

On an unrelated subject...would it be that much extra hassle to make arrangements to get cup holders for the tables? That they were not there the first few years is a growing pain. But at this point, it seems there should be boxes of them available for Goliath...

Played in two Goliath events this year, cashing in both. This remains my favorite room for tournaments.

Pros - lighting improved, chairs improved, tournament management has always been friendly and accommodating, structures are excellent for the buy-in amounts, rake % is not too high, dealers better overall compared to prior years. Big thumbs-up to TD Chris for consistently listening to player feedback; as much as or more than any other TD in Vegas. Also, thanks for tracking down the pic of our final table!

Cons - still some terrible dealers, but I noticed that if something was said right away, management was quick to pull them from the rotation. Also, drank little Perrier bottles throughout the 6-max, but when we got to two tables the server told me that she had to charge for them unless I was some high-tiered card holder. Weird inconsistency.

For the record, I want to point out that the PLO8 was a $600 event with a $50k guarantee and ended up with 174 entries, crushing the guarantee ($90.5k prize pool). I would definitely encourage PH to hold a similar event next year.

The excessive late registration is absurd, unless they fix this I will not be participating next year

Just wanted to say I was pumped to see 2-7NL on the schedule this year, unfortunately I didn’t know about it til I was on my way to leave LV. If it’s around the same time next year I’ll definitely schedule around it when I make my plans for the WSOP 2-7NL.
