Chris I read a few pages of the thread but not the whole thing. When can I pre reg for the HU events since they'll obviously sell out?

The use of the term "estimated prizepool " should be outlawed

Is it legal to have someone else register for me for the HU events? Really don't want to make an extra trip down just to register, but probably will if I must

Hopefully if there are 64 players who want to play the PLO heads-up, it won't still be capped at 32.

I believe I read some where ITT that it was a hard cap.

There's going to be so much stuff going on, I doubt they're going to make even close to 64 for that tournament. But they might get like 40-50 who knows actually

I 100% believe the PLO at least sells out the day registration opens. There are no other low limit HU tournies. They will sell out quick

I'll take a bet it won't sell out the day you can buy into it (which is what by the way? June 1st?)

If it does sell out it will be the day of the actual tournament. You overestimate the amount of people willing to play PLO HU for $320.

You boys take those two dates and I'll take the dates in-between. Ready to bet? 😜

May 26 is the first day registration is open. I'm flying in just to register for the two HU events. Will also register for the WSOP events I'm playing but the trip is specifically to register for the HU events

I don't think the PLO HU will sell out before the day of the event because I don't think enough people are going to care enough in advance to pre-register for a $350 event, though maybe I underestimate how many people pre-register... but I definitely do think it'll sell out at least on the day of the event. Not only is it one of the only low limit HU tourneys (let alone a PLO HU tourney), but it's also the only non-NL tourney in Vegas that day (other than the WSOP $10k PLO).

Despite them saying it's a hard cap, I hope they'll be flexible if/when they see a line much longer than 32 people (as they've been flexible with the rest of their scheduling)...

hmmm, looks like the quantum day 2 buyin has been increased?

these quantums man, i'm not thinking it's going to go well

still don't get why 20% don't qualify at the 200 buy in if 10% do at 100

The only way it works is if day two advanced value is exactly the same for all b uyins.

Booked a flight to Vegas just to register for the two HU events. I'm so excited to play those. There's never low limit HU tournies like this. Especially the 2/3 PLO HU. That'll be insanely fun

It'll probably be a larger turnout than it should get. The only people they've told about the changes are the ones in this thread.

The PH website was never updated, it still shows a guaranteed prize pool.

I wonder if that was intentional? People show up to play and are upset with the change, they can claim, 'oh yea we announced the changes a few weeks ago, look we posted about on a forum...oh, our website still shows the old info, oops, sorry i guess we forgot to update our own website, our bad. but you're here now, might as well play anyway."

I wonder if they count Quantum in the 8.25MM Guaranteed

BTW, I keep looking everywhere but I don't see the starting chips/level lengths for Quantum. Am I missing something obvious, or is this pertinent information also being withheld from the public for some as of yet unexplained reason?

Chris, I just saw the structure for the $600 HU tournament. It's a joke. After 4 levels you're 10 big blinds deep on average? Really? Might as well just flip coins for $600 without the rake.

As an example, here is Matt Savage's structure of a HU $570 tournament at LAPC a couple of months ago

http://www.commercecasino.com/wp-con...ads/LAPC24.pdf

We got 12,500 chips, blinds are

50/100
75/150
100/200
150/300
200/400
300/600
400/800
500/1k
600/1.2k

So after 9 levels we get to average stack 10bb.

Yours is 100/200, 200/400, 300/600 etc. Basically at level 2 you already have just an all in stack more or less.

I don't wanna sound like chainsaw but really you should consider changing the structure (or add more chips, like make it 15k if that's easier for you.) Same thing applies for the PLO HU tournament. Please consider some sort of change (ideally blind change - take Savage's structure for example.)

All the Seniors events in Las Vegas have 15,000 chips or more. Planet Hollywood already has the highest rake for $600 tournaments so if it will be only half the stack of Aria's $450 Seniors Event, then all seniors should find something better to play on June 18.
