Better take a second look at the structure sheet! I last played this event in 2016 and it had a great structure. Now it is terrible with no play as you get deeper into the event. This is not a debate about the BB ante, but the whole structure has been shortened.

In 2016 Level 18 was 2500/5000 with 500 ante. Now 5000/10000 with 10k BB ante. Just example, this way throughout.

Same starting stack as 2016 (25k).

Too bad, it was the one event they had with OK rake, and it is a nice room to play in; but they really screwed it up.
This is shown here too...

94 “S” points isn’t horrible, but is certainly low for a featured event. I’m not sure why they made the change. Maybe they had issues with how long the tournament was going given the field size. Or maybe BBA tournaments need to be tweaked in order to make financial sense (but that’s a story for another day and another hundred posts )

In past years they validated GN garage parking when you registered for the day's event.

I’m pretty sure Four Queens still has free parking.

Or just drop the car off at the valet. No validation necessary. (But please tip, of course!)

I always valet at GN whenever I'm downtown, I find it the most convenient.
I tip $2 at drop off and $3 at pick up.

For anyone who has played an 11AM limit event in this series and went deep, what time did it end?

2 years ago around we bagged around 12:30am, last year I want to say closer to 11pm. Don’t remember exactly but it was not super late either year.

Thanks for the feedback. The Grand Series PDF says that all events are one day events w/ limited exceptions (none of the ones I want to play), so I'm hoping that these tend to end around 2 AM. Would not want to have to return for a Day 2.

Sorry, I was only referring to the Main which is not what you were asking about. I have not played any of the others.
