Hi everyone, I am sorry if you had to leave several messages, i try to call everyone back very prompt, but right now it is only me in the office, I did have help before the tournament started but when the tournament started she had to go back to dealing. I truly appoligize if anyone feels they did not get a quick call back from me. It is a little crazy. Sold out for this weekend, I still have a few rooms left for next weekend, so call me quickly.

Also I think you are right about the $49 rate for Horseshoe, they do that frequently where they book you for Horseshoe and then when you get here they tell you your reservation is at the Veranda which is about 4 miles away. I would double check with them, if this is the case please give me a call and we can get you a room here on property.

Thanks everyone for coming out and playing the WPO and for your patience, if you are here stop me and say hi, I am the pregnant lady walking around in the tournament with the Gold Strike name tag on.....

anybody know the turnout for the friday/saturday NLHE tourneys? I know I keep asking for info on everything but I'm just looking to see what kind of value I'll be getting in the tourneys. Thanks again!

Are these SNGs going at all times or do they stop when the tournament start? How many tables are set aside for them?

I'm pretty sure the biggest I've seen is 25 with a $10 rock so far. But somepeople are sitting with 20k in it. I think I've seen 5-10 too but I dunno.

Thursday's $200 was 408 entrants.

Fridays $300 was around 390 I believe. Would have been more but Ladies event ran at the same time.

Thanks for the info. Please excuse the ignorance, but what the heck is a $10 rock? Is that just a fancy way of saying 10/25?

Instead of me trying to explain look in the B&M section where I started a thread called "Explain The Rock".

There are variations of it according to that thread btu the way I took it when I asked while there was whoever wins the pot puts the rock (which is 2 $5 chips bound by a rubberband) as a straddle. In Mississippi you can straddle from any position (besides the blinds).

Is any site posting the event results this year? I haven't found anything yet on PN, PP, or CP.

I don't think anything is up yet. I'm not gonna lie....I googled my name thinking one of those sites would have something but nothing came up. Unless I'm the former CFO of HP and I didn't know it.

You'd think someone at the tournament could at least set up a WPO twitter account and broadcast info and results.

I wish there was some type of reporting going on there. I'm for the idea posted earlier, except mine would be for each major or even semi-major tournament series to have a twitter account for updates as far as number of players and 1st place payouts. I think it would be a good idea for any poker room to post news about upcoming tournaments or other events.

I just got back from Tunica. The tournament staff was great! I had a wonderful time!

Answers to some questions:

Friday main event NLH was 410 runners and paid top prize of $27,000 ($200+30)
Saturday main event NLH had somewhere around 260 - 290 and paid top prize of $40,000 ($500+40 buy in)
Sunday main event NLH had 267 with top prize around $21,000 with 27 paid ($300+40)

I played in the Sunday event and finished in 31st place just 4 short of the money.

The single table satellites run from 9a.m. - 2a.m. and are: $45, $55 paying two places of 200 in chips + 30 cash, $65 paying one 500 chips and $40 or $50 cash, $85 not sure of the pay out not many of these were running, $125 paying 2 places $500 chips $40 or $50 cash and then some higher priced ones of course paying more. The most popular and most often run are the $55, $65 and $125. There are some higher ones in another room also.

Cash games were mostly 5/10 and down with only 4/8 limit running, however I think there my have been higher limit games running in a side room.

All in all it was a great time!
