Sorry, couldn't find a general thread for such questions, there is one coming up in Madrid, i was wondering if its worth checking out, only interested in plo cash games. If someone played that tour, specifically the one in Madrid (are they all similar?) to share their experience, how many plo tables, stakes and action...thanks in advance.
Madrid Poker is pretty well known for its PLO games just in general (when there isn’t a series going on). They run pretty big PLO in Madrid. Given this is a smaller stakes stars series I doubt they’ll have massive PLO games going on, but I’d be surprised if they don’t have at least up to 10/20 during the series. If you’re there just for the tournament dates make sure you check out the other Madrid spots (Torrelodones in particular) and what PLO they’re running the nights you’re there.
Edit: just checked their (stars) official page for that festival and it’s worth nothing they don’t have a section for cash games. That could mean they don’t officially have anything to do with the cash games, but there’s almost definitely going to be games there. I know on EPT pages they have cash game info. So maybe at this festival it won’t be stars dealers in the cash games or maybe they just forgot that section on the page. I do know that casino runs games in general year round though.
Also worth nothing you won’t be able to buy into those events (or probably get paid out either) with your stars account as you can at EPTs PCA APPTs etc. but if you’re there for cash games I assume you’ll have cash on you and can obviously buy in with that.
For more accurate and specific cash game info for those dates either email the stars live email address or better yet call the casino and ask. Make sure you call the Casino Gran Via and not Torrelodones.
