The ITIN expires after some years, it says if you do not need it to get a US Tax refund, you do not need to renew it.

As a european coming to Vegas, I wonder now do I need to renew my old ITIN from 2011? As I understand it, I do not. But I want to make sure. If anyone knows for sure, confirmation is appreciated.

I don't think they expire. My ITIN was issued when I made a modest cash at The Venetian in 2008 (thanks Venetian!) and I had no problem with using it for cashing out at the WSOP this year.

So the poker room will do the ITIN thing for oyu after you cash something? I was hesitant to play many tournaments because of the 30% retention they'd do and everything I read on how to get an ITIN number beforehand seemed very unclear and cumbersome but this changes things a lot.
