WOW, that's such fast action. An ALL IN just after they go heads up. John's pocket 5's held up against Hu's Q 10 offsuit. John doubles up.

sorry, typo. 31 hours, 39 minutes was when heads up began. Remember that I've been here since 10 am yesterday. Not to mention playing for 14 plus hours in the Ironman.

ANOTHER ALL IN. This may be it.
pocket 5s vs pocket 6s
flop - 9, A, 7, 5, 4
Hu doubles up and severely cripples John. This may be the final blow to the gladiator from Wilmington.

It's over. Hu has won the Ironman. Official elapsed time - 31 hours 58 minutes. Just short of the Guinness Book record. But I sense that this may be just the first attempt at getting in the record books. Congrats to all players.

Just logged back in to check in - Hu won - good action! John deserves a round of congratulations - I was honored to play at one of his tables. Thanks D1 for hosting the play by play! See you all at the next Ironman!! Maybe someone can ask K1 if they plan to do this again.

k2 is the handle we use to denote the floor managers - the k refers to the first initial of the first name, the number one means the lead manager, number 2 means the second in command. Since Anthony just left DP as manager - k2 will likely be the new manager and become the k1, but until it happens officially, some of us still refer to him as k2. This coding is due to this site's policy about naming real people in the casino - and the sensitivities involved.

K1 has the crew cut and very pinch-able cheeks.
According to layemdown, the record for longest continuous tournament was indeed set - just that Guinness wouldn't give it official "Guinness" recognition unless it went 36 hours. ~32 hours will have to do.
