That sounds worse to me. The sun will be coming up before they're done. I remember now I didn't play any of these last year because they take too freakin' long. If you don't finish in the top 5 it just isn't worth it.

Played one of these and did quite well in 2017. It was I believe $235 then. We had over 1100 runners. Started at 2 pm and finished up at 4 a.m. I will say that when we got to the last 40ish players, the structure had really caught up to the field and I recall noting that average stack was 12 BB. Pretty much shove or fold for the last couple of hours, and that was true of everyone.

Having said that, it is hard to argue with the buy-in versus potential reward. As noted above, you could turn a $250 or so buy-in into $35k, in one tournament in one day. Not bad for those of us who are in town for less than a week and are looking to play max potential value one day events, even understanding that the structure is not great towards the end.

Exactly, that is what I am talking about. It doesn't matter that it played 14 hours, it matters how good the structure is down the stretch. What good is playing 6 hours of good structure, only to have a shove fest when the real money is up for grabs.

I just read an article where the guy uses a method I had not heard of to analyze tournament structure.

The number of hands you can play at Medium Utility(30 big blinds or more) assuming you stayed at starting stack, which a good player should at least do barring anything horrible happening.

The $250 daily at Rio this year is 75 hands.
The $500 1st tournament with 50k and 50 min. is 200 hands!
$60 Bally's donkament is 20 hands. lol

The WSOP online poker has some great structures on the $3 to $10 Rebuy and add ons. Just assume a double buy in to start with double stack and add on and you can play 125 hands at 30bb or higher. I just final tabled one last night. Great structure down the stretch.

n 2019, there are two new additions to the Deepstacks schedule.

On Sundays at 5 pm, there will be a $250 Pot Limit Omaha Deepstack event. This will be the first time that a Deepstack event at the Rio will be of a different variant than No Limit Hold’em.

Also added to the schedule is an event specifically for the 50+ player. On Wednesday mornings there will be a $250 Seniors Deepstack, offered at 9 am.

Both of the new Deepstack tournaments will feature 30-minute levels and a 20,000 starting stack.

is the daily rio deepstack the best "slowest" structure we can get at round the 100-250 price?

The $150 daily's at Golden Nugget appear to be about the same. 1 of those I think is a multiple flight entry and 300k guarantee for $200 I believe.

Only 15k chips but the structure is slightly better, it comes out about the same.

Give this kid a tissue. Flag me all day lol
I copied and pasted that directly from WSOP.
I guess it was for their bracelet events.
They're the misleading source since there's only about 1 or 2 $400 bracelet event yet there's daily events under $400

I'd check out Planet Hollywood. Here's a list of every NLH tourney in Vegas under $260:

Lots of poor structures and high rakes for everyone, but Planet Hollywood has some that are great.

The Orleans has a $150 NLHE tourney with a relatively slow structure at 11am Mondays thru Thursdays through July 4 (except for June 19 and July 1). The rake is $30 compared to $40 for the similar Golden Nugget daily $150 tourney.

you should be ok, because they have a separate cage for the deep-stacks/megas. However, the Millionare Maker kicks off today, so if they allow those people to register at the Deep Stacks line, it WILL make it a much longer wait.
