Had a great time in Vegas, up/down at the 1/3 PLO at Aria, killed Venetian (for me at least) 2/5, ran sick (flop straight v flush draw and fade). Up for the trip, played a few Caesars tourneys.

So anyone have any idea how turnout should be at Choctaw for the 2 weekend tourneys, since the River main is going on?

I was thinking of heading up, also considering the TJ Main overlay for 1st & 2nd place.

I assume Sunday will be good since people that bust from the River will play.

Played today too, drove up with a buddy for my third time at this thing. I love it, but results are terrible so far. QQ isn't kind to me.

Even though I've have limited success at this tourney, I love love love it. Structure is decent, starting stack 15k with dealer add-on is great and allows you to actually play instead of turning into a shove fest. But the best is the players - we were late with blinds at 2,000/4,000/500 - UTG +2 raises to 12,000, folds to me on the button, I have suited AK and shove for about 45,000. I'd played with this guy at an earlier table and saw him showdown second pair, busted draws, etc. so I was pretty sure I was ahead. Folds back to raiser, he tanks for like 10 minutes. This is last hand before break, rest of the players go to break, we wait and wait and wait and wait. He finally calls and turns over, drumroll please ............... king jack offsuit! I think wtf but am pretty happy. Flop is 7-8-9 rainbow, turn (of course) the jack, and river is the miracle 10, giving me a chop with a straight on the board. While I got lucky and chopped the pot, this is the kind of play you see, even late in this tournament. So I'll keep on playing this one, knowing that one more time (ha!) I'll get back to the final table and make some decent money.

Have they still been getting 120 runners plus? I have had to work the last month or so.

Also Choctaw is putting a 1500 guarantee on their 1pm daily's and 2k on the 7pm one

139 yesterday.

With 23 left, I had 170k with the avg being 90k. BUT, then a trainwreck happened and I busted 20th. Twice, yes twice, I run into an old man with AA. Once on a K high board with me holding KQ and once blind vs blind and me holding 99. Then I got my last 20k in with Q3 against 10 J and yes, the river brings the 10. Kind of stunk being that I was in complete control for 7 1/2 hours and accumulated that many chips by earning them, yet run into the old men that fold there way to AA. Blah, oh well.
