It happened in my case where the player next 2 me exposed the card while hinting (to call) so that his friend can go all in instead of him.
I did complain as I lost... called with 10's with low stack.
By the way, in this case that player got 2 rds of suspension and I got some comps from TD.. But I was out of tourney.
Also I know many people talk trash to get extra information in critical situation.

As of WSOP 2011, this practice is also banned.. No wonder Daniel complained loudly in TV about this new rule Also Daniel made little money in WSOP 2011.
You will be severely penalized if there is a complaint against you and U do as stated above.
I believe that many expose cards deliberately... to signal friends...
Rules are rules... and it does protect from unfair advantage created deliberately by violating rules... exposing cards and talking trash to get extra information.
