Not having a 250/500 or 2500/5000 level yet having a 25/50 level w/ 30k starting chips is sooo bad.

Definitely one of the tougher casinos to play at. Competition will probably be pretty strong.

Is this true. Steves crew usually had every level for the hi buyin events.

The levels are not in there for the 240s and 350s prelims and looks like it was not added into the 3k main...

OK for the prelims since they're small buyins and already have 45 minute levels vs other places 30mins or 40mins. Kinda sucks for the main, probably the only thing that's needs to be added.

Those levels should be in every no limit event. Even the $300s are playing for huge prizepools. The jump from 2000-4000 to 3000-6000 is usually at or near the money, and kills a lot of events.

I am pretty sure that Charlie Ceresi is the TD for all the events in Hammond, I know him and Steve work together at just about everywhere they go.

Can someone tell me the name of the hotel across the street form the Ramada I think it use to be a Quality inn....not the best....but it is ok just to crash.

The 250/500, 2500/5k levels should be included AT LEAST for the main event. I'm trying to find the structures from last year...but any chance they add those?

I'm really surprised those are omitted.

Agree. IMO the cash games are usually fairly tough during that time slot compared to others (at least for 1-2). Not to say that you can not win, it is just more challenging to find good spots.

the structure was really good in the main last year, i wouldnt worry too much about the 250/500, 2500/5000 missing is a bummer tho

Here's the structures from last year for all NLH events:

LINK: 2011 CPC Structures - NLH

They've removed the following levels from prelim events: 25/100/200, 3k/12k/24k, and 30k/120k/240k.

For the main, they haven't removed any levels.

Wow, I did not even notice that they removed levels for the prelims... The main event looks like the exact same structure as 2011.

The prelims only have 40 minute levels vs 45 minute levels last year (guess they thought the events lasted too long last year???). These were the best prelim structures last year, now they're just about the same as other places for low buyin events.

Although unlike most other places, there's added money so it's kinda "rake free/reduced rake".

I apologize if I missed this somewhere, but: I assume late entries and busted re-entries are all going into the same queue based on when they pay, and not based on their status as rebuyers vs initial buyers?

If so, any speculation on how long some of the first re-entry players will have to wait to get back in after all the alternates? Totally in the dark as to what to expect (obv hoping not to have to rebuy too quickly, but it happens)

Take any guess with a grain of salt. This is the first time anything like this will be done.

In the WSOPc Event #1 they had 2 starting days and allowed rebut in 1b if you busted in 1a. When they got almost 1400 players in day 1a, everyone thought that we would go way past 3000 total because of day 1b being a bigger draw. Well they ended up with exactly 3000 and they had to beg/borrow/steal to get the last few in. So even that was unpredictable.

The event #1 at this CPC will be even harder to predict. Usually a smaller draw than the WSOP, but this will certainly have more than 3000 entries. Plus there are variables nobody knows, like how many tables they will actually dedicate to the tournament and for how long. I doubt they completely shut down cash games while people are constantly reentering.

So that being said, my completely random guess, if you lose quads over quads the first hand, you'll probably be waiting 2-3 hours on day 1a and probably closer to 4 hours on 1b.

When can you start registering for event 1? If I remember correctly, you could register in the poker room early for these events except for the heads up and the venue box office does it.....is that the case this year again?

How long do they typically play on day one for the two day events?

Thanks
