Surely you don't mean that because a guarantee was missed by $1500, rather than make good on what may be the only event where they miss the guarantee, they actually just lowered the guarantee?? If that's the case, and I hope its not, someone desperately needs to start a company to compete with Poker Executives!

I can understand being in business to make money but not meeting a guarantee like that seems more like just straight up greed above all else...

We guarantee the money until we don't guarantee the money. And we can change it at any time. Yeah, that's going to pull a lot of people into the tournaments in the future. (if it's true) Might as well say "possible prize pool of 30k".

The prize pool as stated in all advertisements etc.

$300 + $40 + $10

$300 is the prize pool. 100 players made the guarantee.

The 3% is dealer toke which comes out of the prize pool.

The $50 Voucher comes out of the prize pool.

All of this is clearly stated on each structure sheets.

Poker Executives does not guarantee the event we Direct the event. If the prize pool had been short , the casino would have added the money.

You are griping over the 3% tip. Sad that you gripe over 3% when this casino has ADDED $50,000 in the spring event and $20,000 to this event. We also lowered rake from WSOP Standards. I hope this is just your lack of knowledge as to what is considered Prize pool. I try my best to get as much for the players as possible here and would hope that it is appreciated so that the casino will continue to have quality tournaments.

Thanks for attending and hope this clears this matter up.

Payouts are correct $30,000 -3% ($900.00) holdout for staff in every event - 12 $50.00 ($600.00) vouchers = $28,500. Hope this clears it up.

Guarantees superceed the others in any other case I have ever seen this situation. Also when you have floor people buying in last minute to meet the guarantee and shoving their first hand with a6 doesn't help this situation.

I love this staff but this is real money we are talking about.

This summer if the $10m guaranteed in Florida is short a few players I bet they won't short that one...

Bill did buy in. So did Dennis and Jordan and 3 dealers. They all used there own money. I would not have pushed all in with a6 either , but it was his money. I ask Bill why he pushed in with a6 he said he had big blind first hand and had a6 it was passed to button which raised he said he pushed all in hoping to win the pot. Button had aq. I would not have pushed all in either, but heck I think I play better than Bill.

Good Luck Mo on the rest of the series,
Jimmy

I am actually more concerned that a floor person would buy in (against the rules I thought) and then to make matters worse just open shove his whole stack on the first hand?? Not exactly good for the competitive balance of the tournament.

The other issue seems to be a technicality, understood, but not commonplace. As much $ as is being made by those hosting and managing this series, taking the $1,500 punch in the gut would seem to go a lot further than the bad pub that will be dished out due to the situation.

Jody the 3% for staff and the voucher money would come out of the prize fund if the guarantee was met so why shouldn't it come out if the casino has to add money to make the guarantee?

Like I said Bob, technically, this is correct and I understand, but I think when players see a guarantee of any amount, that is the amount that they expect to play for, right or wrong, that is what is believed and I am of the opinion that raking off the 3% in this situation is just asking for trouble, especially considering how successful the team of Choctaw and Poker Executives has been. Just seems like there is much more at risk than $1,500 in future revenue.

Also, I am much more concerned about the floor person buying in and punting a stack in the first hand. Completely unacceptable and I hope whoever did it was not directed by someone higher up to do so.

Jody I can guarantee you Jimmy didn't put anyone in the tourney as I asked him if he needed me to play it instead of the mega and he said no. If he needed players in it wouldn't it be reasonable for him to ask me to play when I offered?

Trust me he did not PUNT his stack. He was trying to double up at only having 10 big blinds, he thought he could win it with a come over the top play against a single button raiser. No, he was not directed to play. It was a slow day with no 5 pm tourney accept the Mega , had 3 floor man watching 10 tables and asked if I cared if he played, I said no. We are self employed and are not employees of casino and our dealers and floor can play on their own money just as any other customer. Missing a guarantee by a handful of players is no big deal. If I missed by 20-30,000 There could be a problem. SO this is why when Bob ask me if i needed him to play I said no. I really didnt care. The prizepool was correct at $30,000. I could not go to casino and tellthem hey we need you to pitch in an additional 3% when the prize pool was posted correctly. The vouchers certainly cannot be debated as we hand you the vouchers worth $50. The toke is the only real issue, and it clearly states that 3% of the prizepool will be withheld. I have 90 dealers and the 3% was $900. That is $10 avg per dealer for most of the day. I have heard very little complaints from them and proud to have them working for me. Hope to see you at the Championship Event! Don't work to hard this week!

I'm really glad someone is double checking the numbers in the prize pool.

Hey Jimmy, I'm pretty sure the casino and your company is being well compensated by us, the players. You do run a good tourney but never forget its the players that drive your money making machine. So when someone brings up a legitimate problem you shouldn't say "it's sad you gripe over the %3..." Sends the wrong message.

point taken! No wrong message meant. I was just trying to point out that the casino has been terific to the player in my opinion. I think both the player and the casino (and PokerExecutives) have a great product that all have enjoyed and the point I was trying to make is that I dont want to ruin a good thing for all of us. The $50k added and the $20k added back to the players...The players spending money at the casino and yes work for me and my staff! I am a Huge Player Proponent*

* Huge word for me...I hope this word means Im on the player side and will do what I can to make it the best possible tnmt for the player. I usually stick to 3 or 4 letter words!

Thanks for the advice. I would delete the statement, but I am not above saying I was wrong for the statement!

I do stand my ground that the prize pool is correct.
I will not allow supervisors to play anymore.
I will continue to listen to the players and try to make for a bigger and better tournament for the players.

Thanks again for the feedback!

I guess the players here are not used to dealers, floors etc playing in tourneys since the gaming here doesn't allow it but I am used to it as in Tunica and most places an employee can play cash games or tourneys in their house as long as there is no house money or promotion money added, with the exception of WSOPC ring events. Remember other than Indian Casinos prop and shill players are common in cash games and tourneys. I know I love it when a dealer or floor props as most are horrible players.

I think I misplayed a hand in the mega I flopped 2 pair but with 3 hearts on the board. I had about 12 BB so I pushed hoping to get the players to fold but needless to say I was knocked out. Should I have folded to the raise or pushed as I did?
